For racing with narrow bars on maintained gravel roads, something like a BMC Kaius is ideal IMO. I don't think there are any open molds with a comparable geometry.

If you do a lot of single track and fire roads with a lot of elevation the SC Stigmata is probably a great choice, assuming it fits you. That slack HTA works, but it can also be annoying unless you have wider bars. I think there are some new open molds that are more like this. I think the Carbonda 707 and the new elastomer suspension Light Carbon bike are more like this.

For an allrounder, I get while the Canyon Grail and Trek Checkpoint are popular options. I think a bike like the Carbonda 696 is also this kind of bike, though I have never owned one. I think most people are best off getting a bike that is this kind of geometry, sort of half way to a race bike but slightly relaxed and designed for a more upright position.

However, gravel bike geometry is pretty fraught with tradeoffs and compromises, so the question is really hard to generalize an answer for. Even if the frames can fit wider tires, unlike on the road, toe overlap can be a very consequential issue  when racing. With 165mm cranks, my max tire size is 700c x 42mm treaded tired with a FC <610mm. Realistically, I personally would be conservative and go with a 40mm tire to be safe. That means that for me, most racing or allrounder bikes are pretty much limited to relatively narrow tires unless they can take 650b / 27.5" tires at which point, I want something like a 2.1" tire so the handling doesn't feel too quick as a result of the overall tire / wheel being too small. Given that the 650b tire size is dying and the remaining 27.5" tires are XC tires that are quickly becoming only available in 2.2"-2.4" there are no allrounder options that meet my needs.

The ideal solution is to buy two bikes, which is what brands like Enve want me to do. One for racing on 40mm tires and the other an ultra / trail focused rig that clears 700x50mm. The other option, which i did, was to go custom geometry allowing me to just barely get what I want without having to make these specific compromises.

What's the difference between the QED chainrings, and the optional chainrings supplied with the PES? I'm trying to understand by Magene's QED video.

Are the QED rings similar to SRAM Red's one-piece design?
Basically QED just denotes that it's DUB spindle. Can be any configuration.

PES is for 24mm spindle.

So I ordered a GR048 from Tantan, let's hope my paint scheme doesn't turn out to be complete crap ;D

I'm currently in the process of sourcing all the others parts for the build.

For the BB I went with this one, I hope it's compatible and of good quality... https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1005005859085280.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.41.21ef5e5bAddqXH&gatewayAdapt=glo2fra

For the crankset, I'd like to buy a 2nd hand GRX but it seems hard to find. Do you have any recommendation for some chinese crankset of decent quality ? Looking for gravel 1x 40T. Thanks

Welp, I finally got around to installing it but front derailluer's adjustment screw doesn't work screw hole has its threads stripped....  Sigh.  Since I bought it off AliExpress, the options given to me where to ship it back for repair or replacement and they'll only cover $20 for the shipping.  What a pain.  I think I'll just retap it myself with larger pitch threads and grub screw to match.

I've retapped the hole and went up to an M5 size.  Not totally satisfied with my job.  The Aluminum they've used is really soft which was somewhat disappointing and stainless steel grub screws will just eat it up.  Another worry is galvanic corrosion... oh well, we'll see how it holds up.  I might do a thread insert instead to eliminate my worry of it stripping again from use.  That said, I've dialed it in and given it a quick ride -  super happy with the shifting and performance of everything.  So far so good.

(My EDS OX rear derailleurs all adjusted very quickly.)
During this process, I gradually adjusted the body-angle screw until I found the sweet spot on all the cassette cogs in both the small and large front rings.

Thumbs up for the Wheeltop EDS TX Disc.

Have you attempted to pair the TX shifters with the OX derailleur?

Gravel groupset to be anounced "soon"

Would be amazing if they made their ecosystem flexible in pairings.

It doesn't do anything for me, I'm just curious what others think. ;)

As a follow-up:

The QED crankset was launched in 3 versions. 1) A standalone crankset with the integrated chainrings, no PM, 2) crankset with the beloved spider-based PM and bolt on chainrings--the exact same PM and rings as on the PES, and 3) with integrated chainrings and Stages/4iii-style P325-model PM in the crankarms, dubbed the "QED P325".

I ordered it to awst on AliExpress on March 18 and I'm still waiting, this week they told me that they will try to send it on May 10, but I don't think that will be the case.

They didn't have frames in stock and they had to ask the factory, because they offered me a matte black color because they had stock, but I told them no.

Sorry for my English, I write it with the translator...

Anyone order one of these frames from Airwolf or AWST recently? I placed with Airwolf via Ebay back on march 10th with a "late" delivery by April 15.  it was essentially radio silence with them during that time (I swear I wasn't being too annoying about it lol).  to hedge my bets, I ordered the same from AWST via Aliexpress.  A bit more communicative, but both companies are currently late.  Through Aliexpress I extended the delivery (after asking AWST if they need more time, which they said "yes please!"). At this point I'm debating if I just kill both of these orders and go buy a specialized epic evo.

Any reason why both of these companies are this way?  Just too busy?  do they actually sell frames anymore?  I gave Airwolf 2 months and still don't have a tracking number (they said "its all packed up ready to go, but we don't have a tracking number yet" after I opened a complaint with Ebay and forced their hand essentially).  Am I truly being impatient or justified in my "WTF"?
