You MAY be able to reuse barbs and olive if you can get it out and if you haven't tightened the olive too much but it's heavily recommended to cut and put new barb/olive as you likely lose some seal. This is why you are often advised to leave as much hose as possible in the bike. If crimped properly the olive shouldn't come off anyway
You can pick up a pack of olive/barb/hose kits for 4 bucks on ali, or for 30 at your LBS who will urge you not to get them from aliexpress as they might explode. The olives are universal afaik but the barbs and hoses are not, i think the standard Ltwoo uses is BH59, same as shimano road
You seal the open hoses with a toothpick
And yes both ends of the hose have a barb and an olive

Hello,
I realized yesterday, watching TraceVelo video about bike rack, he is testing the eRx blue edition. Were checking videos and shorts (to know from when) but he did not mention anything about it. He will want to make a good evaluation before giving an opinion.
Greetings!!
His is eRX "blue" "v1". A revision but not the latest Joe showed with usb c

Why
Subcompact options that are hard to get with BCD, plus the rings are very pretty

PM Cranks are mechanically speaking an inferior design to spider PMs. For spider PMs they are build with a pair of sheer gauges that can naturally filter out components of applied torque that are not due to rider pedaling, while crank based PMs rely heavily on post-processing to clean the data to a usable level. You also only need one side to measure true L/R combined power (though the power decomposition to L/R is still more or less guess work), which is especially good if you have a pretty big L/R difference (For me it's 56/44, so a left-side-only setup would overestimate my power by quite a lot)
I just really want directmount chainrings

Wonder how eGR will be charged if it gets redesigned since there's no FD. Not very streamlinely of them

7
After ride number 5 where the shifters stopped working, I have finally reached the point of permanently moving forward. Is there a way to use parts (such as the breaking calipers) in a shimano groupset?
Yes, the brake calipers use BH59 and mineral oil same as shimano, you can use them with shimano shifters
The battery, derailleurs and shifters however you can't reuse, they are a package deal

New ERX will have USB C charging on the FD.
They didn't have to do it, but how nice of them. As a right to repair enthusiast L-Twoo is scoring very high for me between the full gear trim and speed selection, user replaceable battery and now this

Maintenance, Mechanics, & Tools / Lower headset gap?
« on: May 05, 2024, 01:53:41 PM »
I have a ~2mm gap I don't understand and can't fix that didn't use to be there. This is from a carbonda 696 with the supplied headset, barely ridden only about 50km worth of shakedown rides
The lower split crown race don't sit flush with the lower headset bearing no matter what I do, I can't press it with my hands, tightening the steerer plug does nothing and there is no excess grease
I've tried fully omitting the split crown race like some people report but it steers like shit. But the gap disappears which confirms this is the culprit
Unless I'm crazy I think they used to sit flush and are supposed to

They also have powermeter pedals promising to compete with assiomas. Wish they made PM cranks again though
But what happened to sensah?? I think they were the second teased electronic groupset from china after wheeltop but i've not heard about it in over a year

How can the same shifters work with both brake cables and hydraulic housing?

Joe said rim brake will be available later so they are not the same shifters

Component Deals & Selection / Re: LTWOO RX and GRT compatiblity
« on: May 05, 2024, 01:34:42 AM »
Without having them in hand I can still confidently say they would be compatible. It would make absolutely no sense for them to specifically make them different pull ratios

12
How much have you guys paid for it? I heard on youtube someone paid around 400 dollars (he's canadian but i would still assume USD) but I've never seen it anywhere near that price

13
Bit of a shower thought, what is stopping LTWOO (and shimano for that matter because they are 100% in the same boat) from pooping out a MTB shifter? 95% of the research and development is done already with the road groupset, wouldn't they just have to rewire the electronics into a dropbar shifter and merge their MTB derailleur with the clutch and the eGR derailleur? No complicated STI, no front mech etc. What is stopping them, patents?
Also, why not supply titanium bolts for ERX? Would cost them at most another $10 to produce for an easy 50 gram save which would make it competitive with stock duraace in terms of weight

What is the exact problem of ice tech rotors?
They have a huge tendency to warp, sometimes out of the box brand new. Supposedly the steel-aluminum sandwich is also not the best at dissipating heat or something. They're pretty though

15
What do you mean warm out of the box? Heating up fast? The cutesliving store has a pair for 38€ during sale so I'm tempted but I'm afraid those rivets might fail like tracevelo has reported on his - they weren't kactus but the rivet looks very similar. Price seems a bit steep if compared to the zrace that goes for 10€/pair and there's no claimed figures to compare them
By the way the CD-01 are way overpriced in the last link, it can be had for 1/4th the price in other stores
