Re: My FM 196 build Really happy with mine too:) I've not been competing in any races though, as this is my first ever season with an XC bike, but I'll probably do some races next year;) I have done quite a lot of riding (and bike washing;P) though.

Here are some photos after my latest drivetrain upgrades. 34T oval ring from Garbaruk, lots of bolt tuning for the rear derailleur (not really new though) and Alligator I-links Mini. Hope you guys like it:)

Re: My FM 196 build If your tires didn't show some dirt signs, I would not believe you actually ride the bike  ;D
It is as clean and scratch-less as the first pictures.

Re: Carbonda Gravel Carbon frame CFR707 Finally I was able to build the two chameleon colored 707, mainly for parts availability, and... lack of time.
Here is the first one with:
Rival AXS shifters, Force crank, GX AXS rear derailleur.
With a CGB01 handlebar with FSA ACR stem.
And Lightbicycle wheels.

There wasn't any problem to report for the build.
Carbonda's quality at its best.
I didn't weight it, but it just feels heavier than I thought it would be.

Re: Chinese Carbon 29er Pic Thread. So I finally finished my OG-Evkin CF-052 frame  :) 10,2 kg without bottlecages and pedals

Edit: Because of a bad alignment of the BB shell the frame has developed a crack above the BB. Getting the seller to honour the warranty is proving nearly impossible after a month of false promises and long silences. I really advise against OG-Evkin.

Re: Carbonda FM-1306A a 69° Hardtail Finally built the two this weekend !
No problem to report about the frame.
Brake mounts were aligned. Smooth inside. Headtube ends clean.
Same great build quality as usual from Carbonda.

The pink one is for my sister !
Unfortunately I did order a 31.6 seat tube.::) Waiting for the 30.9 to arrive.

With GX AXS, a ZTTO cassette as she wanted a rainbow, but didn't want to invest in an eagle cassette, we'll see how it goes.
In the picture it is a ZTTO chain, but I don't like the noise it makes, so I have an XX1 on order to replace it.
The wheels are the XC925 from lightbicycle.com with 240 EXP hubs, CX-Rays spokes.

The ZRACE Hardrock crankset looks well built.
The Onirii M4 brakes were a very nice surprise, they look awesome and were very easy to assemble, no bleed required.

The brake adapters coming with the frame F PM160->180 and R FM->PM are a bit chunky, but free  ;)
I had to file a mm or so from the rear one to let the M4 totally on it.

The fork is temporary, she's not a rock garden type of rider, and I try to convince her a rigid fork will be enough.
If it works, we'll order a pink one, if not, we'll buy another fork.

Re: Carbonda FM-1306A a 69° Hardtail @Pedaldancer, it was a joke, no worries  ;D

Just to report, that the ZTTO chain noise was coming from a bad rear derailleur setup  ::)
The final weight is 8.3Kg. I received the seatpost yesterday, Aliexpress has a very fast delivery to Belgium since a few months.

Re: Carbonda FM-1306A a 69° Hardtail Hello everybody,

;D I still must wait a little bit, but the frame is painted.
 8) it turned out really great. Exactly as the drawing.
Let's see when it is here.. since it's for my Dad, I definitely "must" and will do some test rides to have all screwed connections and bearings settled so he won't need to do anything, just hop on and ride.

The wheels are already finished,I built a robust combination of Duke Aluminum rims , CX Ray and DT Swiss 350 hubs.. and to give it a tiny bit of shine i took blue nipples.  8) can't upload a photo of them ... don't know why.

Re: Carbonda FM-1306A a 69° Hardtail Hi all

First post here. Have been following for a little while to get advice and inspiration for a new build, which I finished yesterday. So thought I’d contribute with info and experience in case useful/interesting for others.

Build list:

- FM1306a XL in RAL 1015 (light ivory)
- XMCarbonspeed wheelbuild KAS930C 29er T800 on DT Swiss 350 with Sapim
- Fox step cast 32
- Formula cura brakes
- SLX cranks, rear mech, XT chain, BB
- ZRACE chainring
- Sunshine cassette 10-50
- BikeYoke Divine SL dropper
- Selcof bars
- ZTTO XC stem
- Barzo tyres
- Cheap, light Ali saddle
- Risk grips and seat clamp
- Ritchey headset
- XT pedals

Weight 9.68Kg including cage and Garmin mount.

Dealing with Wing at Carbonda was great - really helpful and quick communication. The frame and paint quality seems first-rate, can’t find any faults at all. Likewise Peter at XMCarbonspeed. And the wheels arrived with me in the UK about 10 days after I paid for them - super fast!

Most of the Ali stuff looks decent, albeit yet to ride. The Sunshine cassette seemed harder to index than it should have been. The bar plugs that came with the Risk grips broke when fitting them. Otherwise all looks good.

I replaced the top section of the headset that Carbonda supplied with a Ritchey 1,1/2 to 1,1/8, based on feedback on another thread.

I’ll chop off the rest of the steerer once I’ve dialled the position - I think the -20 degree ZTTO stem might be a bit too aggressive….

Photos hopefully attached!

Re: Tantan FM629 review (/ FM609 / FM619 / FM639)
Super nice build !  8)
How do you call the name of the painting effect and color ?
And... curious, where is this nice landscape behind the bike ?

The paint effect, Tantan calls "Ice crack". It goes by a few names, Colnago calls it "Frozen", it sometimes goes by the name of Crystal FX/Ice FX/Crystal Z/Crystal Effect depending on the industry/use/paint - used quite a lot in custom automotive/motorbike painting.

In this case, I used a YS paint YS9018 (which is the same crimson red that the Factor One is painted in). But you could choose any colour as the base - even chameleon paints.

The landscape is Canberra, capital city of Australia.

Re: Tantan FM629 review (/ FM609 / FM619 / FM639)
Leave it to TanTan to choose the worst possible name for this paint job  ;D

I thought it was because the paint was highly addictive  ;D
