Hey! I have a senicx pr2 on my current bike, but just got a new frame and thought it'd be fun to try something nicer/lighter. Any recs that come in 165mm?

Currently looking at getting a set of these myself. What do you think of them?

Replaced my Cateye Ampp800 with a Towild BR800 because it takes a common rechargeable 18650 which can be replaced in the unit if needed. Basically essential to me now because sometimes I like to ride at night and don't want to have to stress about my battery going dead. I just carry a spare battery.

Wanna try ER9/ERX but keen on seeing if anyone has attempted to rig up satellite shifters

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Senicx PR4 cranks
« on: September 04, 2023, 08:51:49 AM »
Does anyone have experience with Senicx PR4 cranks? The 24mm steel axle ones. Curious how the shifting is with those one piece chainrings, the stiffness of the system and durability. Putting out a modest 1600W in a sprint and not sure if they'll hold up over time or not.

Trying to build a full Chinese component bike and these are on my shortlist..

Seems like it is a popular frame. Anyone have actual experience with it? Curious about compliance/comfort more than anything, as in is it the most uncomfortable frame ever? Or is it somewhat compliant? I would expect it to be stiff, just curious how stiff we talking.

And it looks like either the fork rake (unclear if that is what is in the second WB column) or the trail are incorrect.

Hello friend, that is a typo on the reseller's website, along with all of the frame photos. The second WB column should be fork rake/offset. Thankyou.

The Cura also has a different geometry than Yishun has on their own website. Curious to see if that also gets updated over time. For a long time I thought that the Flybike Carbonda stuff was a cut above the other available open molds, but the recent stuff on here from Yishun is really impressive and I am certainly following the 1058-d to see where it goes.

R086-D on yishun site had error, just updated yesterday

I'd be a bit annoyed about that. I'd email them and see what they recommend.

Geometry for the R086-D is now updated live on the website.

Ey looks like we are looking at all the same frames. The geometry table for the 1088 seems to have a mistake in it, so I'm just clarifying with them. Will update here when I hear back from them.

Hello,

What's your height in CM? I do plan to order Yishun 1088-D. Other choices are R086D and LightCarbon LCR0XD. I am planning to rule out R086D because it's very aggressive and my body might not like it even if i go to a bikefitter but I want to know more information about 1088-D before ordering because I am also confused on their sizing. Closest to the geometry that my current bike has is size 560 (which has CF of 530) so I am really confused right now lol.

BTW I asked if their frame 1058-D is available but here's the response from Melinda

"Dear friend,
Pity that R1058D size 54cm is still not available.

The mold has a small problem, we are now still repairing it in order for smooth production running.

Best regards,
Melinda"

Enquired about this frame and only 54 is currently available- I need a 58. Maybe next year 58 mould will be released.

I'm not a bike designer or bike specific engineer, but I can't but help to think the bottom bracket area looks a shade underbuilt compared to other frames on the market at the moment. Perhaps it'll give more compliance.

Pat, can you name the next colour for my bike bro??

Thinking to grab one of these and build it up. Has anyone had experience with this frame?
