Flybike Asia FM906-D Build
Hello Chinertown! Long time lerker first time poster. Anyway, I bought a frame directly from Flybike Asia (FBA) the other day and it showed up recently. I figured I'd post my build here. I have a Carbonda CFR696 that I've been riding for about 3 years now and, as I understand it, is just a subsidiary of FBA; Anyway, the 696 has been an absolute tank with very little issues, so I decided to go on a climbing bike build journey. I reached out to FBA initially to buy direct and never received a response. About a year ago (Oct 21, 2022) I decided to try again and received a response from adam@hz-fb.cn. He was great to work with and very responsive. The final cost breakdown from FBA is as follows: FRAME - $590.00 HEADSET - $15.00 SHIPPING - $190.00 PAYPAL - $35.00 --------------------- FINAL $830.00 Timeline was: Sept 5th - Invoice Paid Sept 21st - Frame is finished and images are sent to me for confirmation Sept 26th - Fame is shipped with Fedex Sept 29th - Frame is delivered, packaging in good shape. Details of frame: Flybike Asia FM906-D (light weight version) Size 56 Bottom Bracket BB86 Weights Frame: 970 (derailleur hangers, faceplates, bottle cage bolts, etc) Fork: 470 Photos coming up next October 02, 2023, 03:54:13 PM |

Re: Flybike Asia FM906-D Build
Some more photos. Unboxed, uno stem cleansing, rough mock up with some busted parts. I did record a video, but I hate editing so it may be a while. Currently waiting on my bottom bracket and handle bars. I had this old set of 105 shifters/brakes laying around, but the build is so nice I kind of want to find an upgrade. I might sell off some parts and try get an Ultegra hydro set. October 04, 2023, 06:35:36 AM |

Re: Flybike Asia FM906-D Build
Has to be the same Adam, which is probably a nickname anyway. My 696 was $480 when I bought it a few years back. This frame that I am referencing in this post is an FM906-D, which also has a regular version and a "light weight" version. The non light weight version was $490 and the light weight version was $590. I attached my Adam's initial response back from 2022; the only difference is the shipping cost came down some.
