Component Deals & Selection / Re: Meroca MT420 brakes any good?
« on: March 17, 2022, 12:53:36 PM »
So they’ve actually been pretty great on the emtb so I got a pair for my own Am831. However, I haven’t had the change to test it thoroughly since my bike has been out of commission. They work well on the Emtb when I’ve taken it out. However, I only have a set of deore m6100 to compare it to and I like the stopping power and actuation of the meroca quite a bit more. I just threw them on my ebike , more like e-mini moto, to give them a try and I’ll finish that build later today . So I can update the post more on how they feel later. Although , it’s for a completely different style of riding, 40-50mph street riding vs slower dirt or downhill trail riding , so I’m not sure how much the info will help.

I want to actually get a pair of Magura mt5 or 7 for my own ebike to try out and compare to these.

These one...

you only need that tight to preload the headset bearings but after you tighten down the stem it really doesnt matter if it slips a bit as long as the expander plug is still going the full length of the stem to stop the stem from crushing your steerer tube.

Hello, how to eliminate loosening of the seatpost and handlebar HB010 central screw every cca 10 km of riding  >:( :-\ :-X

not sure what the central screw is that you're referring to, a pic would help but if your seat post is slipping use carbon paste

Of course, if you got any quality issue, feel free to contact me via email.

Eddy@haidelibicycle.com

Thanks.
Eddy

I have. You ignore any emails mentioning a warranty issue I send to you even after I provided proof. You said you need to talk to “engineers” and didn’t respond for 3 weeks. Then instead of replacing the damaged frame due to factory defects, you said you will give me a discount on the new rear triangle but with your “discount” and shipping I will be paying more than another member here who purchased at full price and paid shipping when it was more expensive. It comes out to $260 total with no paint. I checked and the other member stated they paid 270, with paint.

Also please stop acting like there was no issue. Otherwise you wouldn’t develop a new rear triangle. Moulds and production cost money and you are clearly very money hungry , so I doubt you would waste it on a new rear triangle if it wasn’t needed. The rear seat stays flex and the bearing has too much movement connecting the rear triangle to the upper link. If you want to keep pretending like nothing was wrong , feel free to read through the last half of this thread to learn more about it. I’m sure you will also come across the comments of people who you told would be receiving a frame with updated new rear triangle but didn’t

Or here

Just in case you miss it I attached a picture of a comment by someone who was injured and broke their bone because of the issue

Thanks,
Snacks

Of course have been tested, and what is the problem for the old triangle, is any quality issue you meet?

Actually , yes.. Do you want to finally help me?

Did you ever ride it with the 36 on it?  I'm curious to hear your comparison between the Durolux and the 36 when tested on the same bike and same trails.

Unfortunately I can’t ride the bike to test the difference. The rear triangle rubs the frame and it’s already gone through the paint. They won’t warranty the frame , actually they refuse any help. So I’m waiting on the new bolts to hopefully fix this rub so I can ride it again. Im afraid if I keep riding the frame it’s going to go through carbon and I’ll be completely out of a bike.

Im interested in a frame like this but as I remember there were countless problems with these frames beyond the flex issues including problems with hardware and frame bearings so Im still not sure...

Good choice. Think about it this way. If it was selling he wouldn’t be here trying to get people to buy it with a discount.

what size are your rear tires? how's the clearance? looking into building 27.5 as well instead of the 29er

Both front and rear are 2.5” and there’s plenty of clearance

Sorry, my words were unclear and I mislead you. I was wondering aloud about what the ballpark for opening a frame mould would be. If I were to go ahead, it'd be with the Workswell 369 and not this Velobuild 099.

It makes me think though, a group of us could get together and structure any potential deal like a group buy. Forum special edition framesets anyone? I've actually participated in something like this in the past but with watches so it's doable albeit very hard work.

It’s about $10,000 per mould per size. That’s just the mould cost, you’d still have to pay someone for materials and labor to manufacture the frame.

Any one else running a rock shox super deluxe rear shock on there 831 and having trouble setting it up, I tried every setting and it still felt dead and unresponsive so I fitted the Meg Neg air can and the difference is night and day , Now it holds up in berms , pumps through undulating terrain and jumps.
I can still play with the set up but it feels great with 2 bands in the negative chamber and 1 bottomless token in the positive full open on comp and 8 clicks from closed on the rebound, Small bump is good , mid stroke support is great and ive not bottomed it out but it does get full travel.
hope this helps some one if there struggling with set up of there deluxe or super deluxe

What’s the tune of your shock?

This is Haideli(Tideace) Privated Mold, so others would not sell this mold, thanks for supporting.

Thanks for saving me time. Looks like I’ll find another frame then.

It does look really  good. And instead of throwing more money at Heideli to fix my am831. I’m tempted to just purchase this, but of course from a different seller. Going to have a look to see who else might be selling them. I’ll post here if I find any.

Guess its fine under shorts though

Hahah they really do! That was the free product available in my area last time . I wear them under pants when I mountain biking . I couldn’t wear them alone when I saw how ridiculous I looked from the back lol

Hello, anyone find a rubber cover for seat post and fits perfect?

Not sure how well it fits but some people were using the one for the SL7
