Dang that looks nice. I wish more chiner manufacturers would post those more advanced calculations about shock travel and stuff.

Looks really good, makes me kinda wish I ordered this instead of the FM258!

That's good to know. If you received a brand new frame would you recommend applying locktite to every link/screw/bolt before starting a build?

I know i did with my M06. I didn't trust anything to the manufacturer so when my frame came i completely took it all apart, inspected it and put it all back together with locktite and proper torque. It's been flawless ever since  ;D

That's a good point, I wonder what the torque settings are going to be for all the pivots and joints. Anyone have any numbers? Or is it largely a guessing game.

Here is my analysis of the three:
FM258 - this is my top choice due to the iterations that have been coming out for the last year. The slight tweaks to add the 12x148, the XL size, the SL option, shows that the people doing the layup are confident enough to expand the product offering. I also like this suspension design due to the copy of the Spark.

CS-M06 - this is my second choice due to the large number of builds and the iterations off of the CS-M36. They also have been doing the XL for quite some time and my order won't be the first run. I also like this suspension design because it is tried and true.

M-145 - I like the idea of this frame, the slackness, the full active rear triangle, but I wish it was squishier. 120mm front/rear would be unique and something we all have been wanting; a trail bike from the OEM for under $1000 (with shock). They are also on their first run of frames and I don't want my $$$ to be the revenue that drives iterations.

Thanks for that feedback. I just ordered the FM258 boost frame last night, glad I made a pretty smart decision. I really wanted the M-145 only issue being how fresh it is off the assembly line I don't want to be the recipient of a design flaw. The M06 seatstays look very thin which made me weary but I know it's been a reliable frame for a lot of people.

Nice ! Thanks for sharing.

Actually at first they promised send me a new front triangle. For some reason, I don´t know why (and it´s not bothering me at all ;)), they sent me a whole new frame with der. hanger, link bearings and shock mounting parts. Now I have spare frame!

The frame is sensitive for correct linkage screw tighten torque. If you tighten more than 10Nm (it reads at the bolts head) it starts creacking. I use loctite soft thread lock for "glueing" the metal parts to rear triangle carbon surfaces. It´s still easy remount, but the system is totally noise and creacking free.

That's good to know. If you received a brand new frame would you recommend applying locktite to every link/screw/bolt before starting a build?

Thank you! The more I ride it the more I like it  ;D I keep saying the same thing, I don't have to "ride" the bike. Everything comes so naturally I never have to think about what to do. It goes where i want it to go without a second thought!!!

How's it so far adbl, still going well on this frame?

I just love this bike!

Nice, looks good. Do you have the parts list/weight?

I might order this next week, waiting for a reply.

I went with the Schwalbe 28mm tires. My speed feels about the same, I think the 28mm tires are heavier but its countered by the lighter wheels. Over the ride was really comfy and feels much more planted. The wheel+tire combo feels smooth as butter. Very happy so far with the chiner wheel purchase!

Got some pictures yesterday. Here is the rear pivot.

Here is lower pivot:

I asked them about the hardware specifics, I hope they don't ship with this piece!

Yeah what the heck, that doesn't look right...

I finally got the tires to mount. The trick I used.... Vaseline aka petroleum jelly aka might disintegrate the tire over time. I ran Vaseline along the inside of the wheels thoroughly, then the tire had enough seal or "stick" to hold air and pop onto the bead. Now I am going to let them sit, take them off, clean all the Vaseline, and then see if they can be mounted easier on their own. If not - Schwalbe it is..

I got a lead time of 1.5 months for the XL, I have asked for more pictures.

From the drawing, is there a pivot at the chain/seat stay? What is that round hole in the drawing for? Seems outdated if it is a pivot.

The no pivot at the rear chain/seat stay reminds me of a Gary Fisher Sugar Race, the Ronald McDonald red and yellow version. I loved that bike and could fly on it!

I think the pivot on the end of the chainstay is probably a good thing. If you go look at 2018 downhill+trail name brands a lot of them have this pivot. If you look at more XC namebrands, they don't. Examples: Specialized stuntjumper, Trek fuel, etc. have this pivot. Some of the really nice brands like Santa Cruz, Yeti have their own very specialized design to prevent bobbing and such from what I understand. Can anyone weigh in on my assessment? I want to make sure im not spreading false info.
