Re: Headset cable routing pushing steering to one side First time building, haven't ridden yet. I have no idea how much force it would take to really affect driving without hands.

I think I got it pretty ok after some twisting. Now has a small amount of spiral going into the down tube.

Re: Chinese cycling clothes
Do you have a link to the model you picked ?

Looks like the ones I ordered are longer available.  Shame, I really liked the zippers on the leg cuffs and just above the front chamois. (why isn't that a bigger thing?)

I wound up with some thermal bibs from YKYW that are nice, but not as comfy as my DeMarchi summer bibs.  The smallest size is still a tiny bit too big in the chamois/waist area.

Re: Spcycle New Mold G056 Carbon Gravel Frame Upgraded my wheels, realized I never actually posted pictures of the finished bike.  This is with the new /deeper wheels, but I also have a cheaper set of 40mm Elite SLR wheels set up with more of a gravel tire.  Well, it's nearly finished, I'm still waiting on new bar tape after pulling off what I used last year.

Absolutely love the green/ purplish chameleon paint job, it was exactly what I had imagined it would be.

Using an Ergon seatpost with a Fizik adaptive saddle, 9velo LV2.0 in 45/55mm, GP5000 STR 30mm, with a knockoff Deda Alanera integrated bar/stem.  SRAM Force D1 shifters and D2 derailleurs.

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
I'm planning to build my e-gravel with this group.
Would you mind to explain the known issue(s) of the group, as there are already 30+ pages.
The "dielectric grease" intrigued me  ???

The number one issue (and admittedly my only one) is water ingress. On my first set, after the first ride, I already started having issues. Note that I live in the enticingly moist Netherlands. After ride nr 5, I decided to add duct tape to the connections, which temporarily seemed to resolve all issues, until the 31st of Dec, when the rear derailleur died on me mid-ride.

The duct tape is not a full fix, and I personally only have one ride with the dielectric grease setup, but the latter solution seems to work for many people having this set.

Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts That is a stock Sram Dub bottom bracket. The drive side bearings are a little crunchy.

I installed one of the Walgun ceramic BBs from Ali that is anodized. I doubt it will last as the seals seem to be less robust than the Sram.

The trails near Chicago are clay based soil, no fun when wet.

You need to somehow seal the plug at the RD to make it 100% waterproof. Otherwise you’re definitely gonna have issues. Silicone grease worked for me. Silicone sealant or Teflon tape could work as well, I guess. Other than that I had zero issues so far. This seems to be the most common problem.

Re: Carbonda fork vibration Thanks for the suggestions. I tightened it last night and will give it a test ride this weekend.

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806309182455.html

I've probably posted this before, but now that I've been using it for a while, the H52MM TY02 (TY01 are for wider fork tubes) expander plug is now my go-to for all my bikes. I swapped out all the stock expander plugs that came with my forks and replaced them with this plug. Excellent engagement and holds tightly. On Pick 3 & Save you can buy them for less than $2 USD a piece. Highly recommended.

Here's the 3d STL file to 3d print.  I only used it for a couple hundred miles so I can't comment on the durability.  Not that I didn't like the lockout, just been testing out a few different shocks.  The only thing additional needed is a square nut and bolt (either m4 or #10 screw).  I also used a Shimano RS900 shift housing for the first foot, since it's a lot more flexible than traditional housing, and it's a tight bend to make sure it doesn't stick too far out towards the pedals.

Do you have an stl file for that bottle mount? I’d love to run a 2nd bottle on my L frame.
