Title: New released Chinese Frameset recommendations
Post by: Casio20 on February 03, 2024, 04:29:51 PM
Hi mates,
I've recently seen the Bxt road 145 electroplated red version, which looks absolutely amazing, what do you think about the frame and are there better options out there?

Hi,
No i have no experience, but i saw their painting is like the trek electroplated (red chromium) which must look amazing.

I actually have a look795 and this frame looks exactly like that just with a more amazing color

BXT has been around for a while. Lots of good reviews with the odd bad experience here and there. Pretty typical of "cheaper" chinese brands.

Any info on the price?

$600USD on the aliexpress BXT store

The claimed 1050g for a 54cm frame makes me skeptical... the frame looks quite chunky

It is definitely heavily insipered by the madone, though worse in pretty much every aspect, that seatstay-top tube joind demolishes any aero performence it could have had

I'd say it is a mix of previous gen Trek Madone and Look 795 Blade RS. I do wonder how well Look twsted in aero tunnel, considering it has more or less the same rear end

Edit: seems to be 217w for older Look Blade 795. That's not very good

Besides having non-dropped seatstays, it's nothing like the look. Google the model to see a picture angled from the front. The joint is basically a current madone if you filled in the hole, it's huge.

You could overlay it on a madone and other than the isoflow hole they'd be almost identical

I am skeptical about it being 1050g and uses T1000, even if it is, it is going to be just one layer aka the surface being T1000 and the rest being T700.
Besides, China shouldn't be able to have legally imported T1000 CF but well well well.

However it should be safe to ride, if you really like the look I would say go for it.
