Title: Advice on Fork Quality [Picture Inside]
Post by: neobiker on July 27, 2023, 07:41:59 AM
Hello,

I recently bought a Chinarello on Aliexpress for the fun of it, and I was inspecting the fork and I am wondering if it looks safe to ride?

I am suspicious about the line/glue on the fork tube.

That just looks like stream of glue left behind from metal cable inlet insertion in the steerer. Kind of like when you apply glue with fingers and last drop drips off.

It looks like the mould was relatively cheap which is probably why the moulding lines are prominent. The glue job is just lazy/unprofessional and not a safety risk. It does provide some indication of the general care and attention to detail the manufacturer provides though.
