Maintenance, Mechanics, & Tools / Cut in tyre - Glue
« on: May 16, 2024, 10:50:30 AM »
Hello,

Unfortunately, my new tires P zero race tubetype (not the picture but same hole) suffered a small cut from a piece of glass and I had a puncture. Since the tire was weakened, I saw that some people recommended using Shoe Goo to repair this cut.

This glue is not available near me and I wanted to know if neoprene glue could have the same effect? If not, what glue would you recommend?

I've been contemplating getting these to try on 218 bars.

Unfortunately, you can't install spacers.

Do you use the same tightening torque for the saddle bolt with the grease ?

I saw this website on WW but It has not been created yet.

5
For information, I sent them some questions (two weeks ago) but I didn't have an answer.

OK good to know it's not an issue with my particular wheel, thank you. If it's not as smooth when free wheeling does it mean technically it requires more effort to ride? Or that small amount of resistance is negligible

I am not an expert for answering but I find that wheels are smooth when riding.

It is the same for me (and I have ceramic bearings).

I wanted to double check guys - would you recommend anti-seize for a thru axle thread and grease for middle of a thru axle?

Yes, I did that.

The bross Zenith is not as expansive as Winspace :

Although, I don't know if this site is legit.

Seka will have a hard time too in Europe to sell this frame without after sale support behind.

So are you really just going to ignore the discussion about the cut off seat tube / looped top tube etc?  No comment on how it's been designed and why?

I agree, or test resistance or whatever proof of usability please.

Elite supplies rim tape with the wheels. I received the 40 mm last week and did 300 km. So far so good. My max speed was 62 km/h and nothing to say, they are really nice.

My tires : P zero race clincher - 28 mm

Does anyone use rim strips with this wheelset? I really struggle to choose proper width. The specs say the wheels have inner width of 21mm. I bought and installed Ritchey 17mm rim strips thinking covering just the middle bent area will be enough as one only really need to cover the holes for nipples. But now thanks to that bending the strip sticks out a little and I am affraid it's sharp edges may damage inner tubes and cause flats. Maybe I should buy wider strips but how wide exactly? I don't want them to get in the way with the tyre beads.

I use the rime tape which came with the wheels. It is 25 mm wide.

Hello,

I ordered carbon aerobar on Aliexpress and spacers separately. I noticed that the spacers were not a perfect fit because there is a gap between the carbon and the spacer. Do you think this is dangerous since the contact point is not uniform?

14
Ya, looks like they are the slowest.
Just wondering if anyone here can confirm they have used them and confirm that they are really 5 star puncture resistant. I am more concern on this aspect for the kind of riding I need them for.

I don't know if they are the same :
