Re: TopCarbon TCGF066 gravel frame I would buy one too but the size L does not appear to be available :(
You can use a standard stem and handlebar with the right kind of headset and dust cap. I can’t tell what kind of headset the Lexon frame comes with if you do not buy the integral stem/bars. Maybe one of the AliExpress shops can send you a photo? You want a dust cap with a flat top that has a cut out or individual cable ports, but without the special shape and pins to fit a proprietary stem, like this company sells:

An example:

Re: Velobuild VB-R-168 Frame
Hi everyone,
I would like to replace the screws of this brakes by titanium screws:
https://a.aliexpress.com/_uJeTee

Could someone please tell me how long should be the M6 brake's screws? I don't have access to my bike now to check.

I've replaced most of my bolts with black Ti ones, what you need is:

Steerer Clamp Bolt   M5 x 18mm   x2
Steerer Clamp Bolt   M5 Washer   x2
Front Brake bolt   M5 x 16mm   x2
Front Brake washer   M5 Washer   x2
Rear Brake bolt   M5 x 35mm   x2
Rear Brake washer   M5 Washer   x2
Seat post bolt   M6 x 30mm   x1
Seat post nut   M6 x 20mm   x1
Seat post nut   M6 x 13mm   x1
Seat post bolt   M6 x 35mm   x1
Computer MountBolt   M4 x 25mm   x2
Computer MountBolt   M4 Washer   x2

Hope this helps.

Re: Velobuild VB-R-177 Hello everyone,
Herewith my contribution with my new Velobuild VB-R-177. This has been my first bike build ever and it was a fun experience.
I made my choice buying from Velobuild. Couldn't decide between the VB-R-166 and the VB-R-177 but I finally decided to go with the VB-R-177.

My objective was to build a budget road bike. Therefore, I took my time and looked for used / discounted parts from the internet. I was very happy with most purchases (especially the group set). But it didn't always work out great. One of the disks appeared to be not completely round, so that needs replacement. Also buying second hand, means sometimes that some small parts are not included. Especially in my case as an inexperienced DIY bike mechanic, that appeared to be a challenge since most of the time you notice the absence of parts only while you are in the building process. It took me a lot of extra time, but I already calculated that in before starting the project.

Furthermore; Youtube appeared to be my friend in this project, since there are tons of instructional movies around to get information from. I was also lucky with my local bike shop to help me out with missing parts and giving good advice when I got stuck.

I did have play in the headset that made me worried, since I’ve seen some excellent Video’s from Patrick Lino (also known as patlien1 on this forum I believe) on Youtube. But in the end, it appeared a replacement of the inner lock end better montage. All in all, the integrated head set makes it trickier.
I did bring the bike in with my local bike shop once it was built for a good checkup and to micro adjust the shifters and to give myself some peace of mind about safety.

In conclusion; I learned a lot, will do many things differently in a new project. But it was very educational and a lot of fun, I think everybody can do it.
I did my first longer rides and I'm super happy with the end result. But I must say my only comparison of the ride quality is with my ancient aluminum road bike only on 23mm tires.

Re: Elite Wheels / Aliexpress / Trace Velo
You are offering nothing in this thread.

Im super late to this thread, but dang it made for an interesting read over coffee this morning.  But I actually think VeloVelo's feedback to you is pretty spot on; he was offering a pretty good hot take on your issue with Trace Velo.

It seems like your beef is with Aliepress/Elite/Paypal...leave Trace Velo out of it.  Even if he isnt directly sponsored by Elite, its obvious his Youtube channel is there to make some money.  He will probably have a harder time getting those sponsors if his comment section is filled with negative anecdotes.

Kudos to VeloVelo for putting in the effort to push back on this.  I think its fine if Boost3782 wants to write about his experience with Elite...but what the eff does Trace Velo have to do with any of it?  His comment section is not the place to air your grievances, and he should delete your comments if he feels it clashes with his business plans.  And at the end of the day, it sounds like Boost got their money back (or at least most of it?)...but is still out there throwing shade on Trace Velo for something that had nothing to do with the youtube channel.  It really does seem like a childish response.  Keep your feedback directed to the players involved in the transaction and you would have been fine.

Rinasclta Granite Aero "All Road" Bike Frameset So I have one of these coming my way. Attached is a photo from the factory

https://rinascltabike.com/granite-aero-disc-road-frame/

-Geometry is more road than gravel
-I ordered a size M/54
-No integrated handlebars, will be using my tried and true FSA NO.69/SRS headset to route the cables.
-700c*38mm max tires size
-While I have an actual gravel bike (Yoeleo G21), it's mostly overkill around here.
-Chose unpainted in order to inspect any flaws, lower the production time, and I genuinely enjoy painting my own frames.

I asked if they share this frame with any other brands, and their response was:
"We share the frame mold with only one friend across internet"

Obviously it's Airwolf since the photos are identical on both websites.

Will keep you posted...

Re: Rinasclta Granite Aero "All Road" Bike Frameset
I look forward to hearing you say "Rinasclta" on the youtube video. I've tried a few times to say it myself and my tongue is now tied in knots!

LoL I actually asked them how to properly pronounce the name. Below is their response...

"Rinasclta" comes from Italian word "rinascita", means " reborn". As in the beginning we were just a OEM/ODM factory who didn't focus on our own brand, but with Rinasclta brand we started to work more as a brand, which means a "reborn". It's pronounced "rin-a-scal-ta". You can also check the video from one of our collaborators in UK

Re: Rinasclta Granite Aero "All Road" Bike Frameset Yo the frameset has arrived.

Upon quick inspection the "quality" seems to be good. Both headset bearing cups are smooth and the caliper mounts appear to have been faced. Also the bottom bracket area has been faced or at least leveled very well. Overall the frame feels beefy and is what I'd expect from a brand being supplied by an OEM factory.

Did I receive a Hambini special? Maybe. However, since the frame is unpainted the factory probably just pulled inventory off the shelf.

Frame: Size 54 (M)
Handlebars: 400mm Width

Overview video coming sometime soon. Below are some photos and weights.

Re: Rinasclta Granite Aero "All Road" Bike Frameset 38c Pathfinder Pro tires at 45 psi. I reckon you could fit 40c tires under the following circumstances:

1- No front derailleur...1x setup
2- On non-super muddy roads only.

Re: Newish ZEROING crankset - Ingrid clone I have 2 of these cranksets.  I only ridden 1 ride and other still in box.  I put blue threadlocker on but I didn't like how it was wider than my other cranks so not using them.  If I ever use them gunna use red thread locker or expoy.  If they fail I'll tap and grub screw the basters together.

Re: Consensus on replica frames ?? My 5 cents. Aero road bikes now look very similar, with maybe Trekk as an exception. Look at Spec, Cannondale, Scott, BMC, their aero all rounder road bikes look alike.
Henceforth, I'd say buy a velobuild type frame, like the 177. It's heavily inspired by current trends, but it doesnt parade as a knock off. It's illegal in most places afaik to buy fake goods, but you can't be blamed for buying proven engineering. Customize your frame however you want, but don't slap a Specialized logo on it.
I wouldn't buy a frame that is marketed as fake specialized or a fake pinarello, because it's illegal, and maybe more importantly, you shouldn't trust thieves & crooks, so why risk your life riding something crooked people sold you?
I also believe it is very clear that the fake frames are NOT the same as the real deal, they dont just happen to be extra units, all else equal, from the same production line. While that might happen sometimes, most of the time it's going to be different QC, materials, moulds, factories, and so on.
