The Workswell WCB-M-145 looks pretty interesting. No Boost, but it has a 68 deg HTA. The reach on a medium is decently long at 428mm for a 100mm travel bike. The reach on my medium Workswell 062 is 414mm.

I replaced the levers of my XT brakes with the XTR Race. I also prefer the feel of the non Servo Wave levers. When you brake hard...it feels much smoother...if that makes any sense. You don't have that lockup feeling...like you're going to get thrown off the bike at its limit. I still have XT's on another bike...and when I grab those levers...there is a "notch" feeling towards the end of the travel.

Most of the frames are native PF/BB30. The BSA and BB92 are inserts that are bonded in. Just let the manufacturer know that you want a PF30 frame.

A dual piston caliper seems like a lot of power on a 160mm rotor. I would imagine that it would build up a lot of heat on a smaller rotor if you were to do a long descent. Its typically used on bikes with larger rotors that are used for large descents with longer travel bikes. Just be careful when you grab that front brake hard for the first time. I'm using Shimano XT brakes on my 062 and it has more than enough power to throw me off the bike.

These are nothing more than my own thoughts. It's just not that common to see such a large caliper on a XC bike. If it's what you choose...then more power to you. :)

Now i discovered i have the classic seatpost creak  :-\ Took that out, cleaned the frame (as much as i could reach) the seatpost and put it back together with carbon assembly paste. It is much quieter but still makes a little noise. I could chase this around forever (as i know this is a common problem with carbon frames and posts) but as long as it doesn't get any worse i'm sure i won't hear a thing on the trail (i hope).

If you're seat clamp is facing the front...try turning it around so that the bolt is pointing towards the front of the bike. It worked for me.

Nothing wrong with that. 8)

Oh...curious why you chose a dual piston caliper for the front. I have the MT Trail Sport on my trail bike and it has a lot of braking power. Seems like a lot of power for an XC bike. ;D

Instead of getting the MT5 and 4...why not just get the MT Trail Sport(non carbon version of the MT Trail). It comes with the dual piston of the MT5 and single of the MT4. Plus you get the new HC lever.

I had a ticking noise from the bike that drove me nuts for months. It ended up being my seat clamp. I turned it to where the bolt is facing forward...no more problem. Then a creaking noise started coming from where I thought was the bottom bracket. Only had it when I was climbing something steep. Cleaned the BB, still there. Cleaned the headset, nope...replaced the bearings...nope. Greased my pedal spindles...nope. One night...for whatever reason...I decided to take my rear wheel off. Turns out that my rear axle was loose. Tightened it down and my creaking went away.

I have a 062 (an early one) and I tighten my bolt to 5nm. I'm using a Syntace P6 HiFlex post. Tightening to 5nm should not crush the seatpost.

A least it seems like you sorted the problem. :)

I'd probably just put my existing Fox 32 100mm. That will keep the HTA at 69 degrees. I don't want it any slacker. Rear shock...not sure.

Anyone read or hear anything on this frame? I'm thinking about building up a FS towards the end of summer. There are so many choices out now. :o 8)

Very good news!
Candy just removed all the doubts we may have had recently about Workswell  :)

Lol...maybe the mods deleting a few of her spam threads helped her along in the "right direction. ;D

Bike looks good 8).

Is there a way you can measure the head tube angle? I'd be using a 100mm fork too.

I also bought the Ibis Hexle...but its short by a few threads when you thread it into the drop out.

I'm now using a axle from an Evil Following. It's not as light as the Hexle, but it has a flush fit in the drop out.
