Re: 3D Printed Saddles
It seems like there are 3 new Ryet saddles in total: T50 that is seen in the photos above, X6 and X7p. Not a fan of how X7p looks like, starts out nice and narrow, but then goes full triangle mode and gets real wide real fast. T50 looks nice and solid all around, although the pressure relief channel is bit narrow. X6 has similar shape to T50, but has wider relief channel and different looking mesh (not sure how it affects comfort). I kinda want to buy X6, but gotta see how comfortable is that different looking mesh. One interesting point across all three saddles is that they are advertising 1cm extra rail length. I just received the X6 saddle and WOW. That's the best saddle I've ever used. It is super comfortable, it is almost flat and the length is great sitting in between short 24cm and long 28cm saddles. Just perfect for me. I don't know what is the exact difference between the T50 but from what I assume the X6 has to be more comfortable with thicker padding. Because it weight 20g more and the only thing that is different is the 3d mesh. The base is the same. Also when You look to the description it say road/mtb in the usage section, opposed to only road in the T50. Based on this I think X6 is more comfortable. Tbh when I ordered I did not even notice that those 2 differ. I am using X6 for my road bike, but I think I will order one for my gravel bike asweel. I am a little tempted to try the T50, but on the other hand why choose other one if this one is so good. Especially that I have a collection of saddles I don't use in my closet and don't need more. And those aliexpress saddles are rather hard to sell, like ie the ryet premium superlight saddle which was just to hard for me. Edit: after few longer rides I gotta change my opinion on the saddle. The padding on longer rides starts to hurt and rubs te contact points which causes pain :/ September 15, 2023, 03:34:55 AM |

Re: Chinese cycling clothes
is it really waterproof? It seems it's hard to have a waterproof/resistant fabric AND breathable, it's found only on more expensive clothes I don't even count that it will be waterproof and good breathable at the same time. For this you need a top class membrane. And the best I could are polish brand jmp sport - https://sklep.jmpsport.pl/sporty/246-2618-x2-kurtka-rowerowa-meska-40000-jmp-2415820012108.html#/4-rozmiar-xl/30-kolor-ciemny_niebieski - this is the only rain jacket that does not make me wet under. But since I do not like to ride in the rain that much I need those spexcels for colder days and they do the job perfectly. The winter one I am sure will be good on a little rain September 25, 2023, 11:48:33 AM |

Re: TanTan GR047 or GR048?
Hi. I also am choosing between the two bikes. I love the look of gr048 but the heatube and stack is just to big on this bike. Like come on only 385 reach in size XL paired with Huge 630 stack. Thats huge stack. And if one wants lower stack then size L had on only 556 TT. Thats to short for 187cm guy. When I look qt gr047 geo it just suits me better. Reach 391 ant 608 stack looks nice. Can run slammed stem with 100/110 stem. October 01, 2023, 03:41:52 PM |

Re: Titanium Gravel bike: PYTitans build thread
Here the build details: Hey Chris lovely build. I am refreshing this post as I would like to ask specifically about the og evkin seatpost. Is it comfortable? I currently have the elite one seatpost and its great because it has quite a nice flex so it's perfect for gravel in terms of compliance. Only problem is that with my new saddle without cutout it is almost impossible to adjust it because of no access to the top sestclamp bolt. That's why I wanna get the og evkin seatpost and wonder if it is comfortable and good at damping vibrations and maybe even some nice flex like the elita one for. Would love to get your input October 03, 2023, 05:39:07 AM |

Re: Airwolf YFR068 - 2023 Gravel Frame
I know I am new-ish around here and there is a lot more acceptance of replica frames here than in other places. However, I don't really understand the point of adding a UCI logo to non-approved frame unless the point was go beyond adding the Cervelo logo on the HT to convince people that this is a real Aspero 5 or convince a race judge that this is an approved frame for use somewhere. Bro chill out. Fuck UCI, this sticker means nothing even if it is original. It tells nothing about the quality of the frame, it's not like some iso certificate or something. In order to get it frame producer, just needs to pay to this greedy organization and the frame dimensions need to be within UCI rules. They don't care about the quality, just about their rules. Anyway, gravel scene hates UCI and wants to stay away from this corrupt body as much as they can, so that's the bigger reason for not putting this sticker on the frame. But if the owner wants to do it? It is his choice mate, because this frame checks all to boxes of the rules. The manufacturer just did not pay the bribe. It's not like he is putting fake specialized, cervelo, trek sticker. October 06, 2023, 02:46:55 AM |

Re: Mechanical flat mount brakes
Thanks for all the feedback! It's interesting how there's such a range of opinions on the cable/hydraulic brakes. I use trp spyre c with semi metalic pads for over 4 years now. I am a big strong dude and use this bike in all kind of gravel and singletracks. From flat rides, fast races, to ultra and mountian 200+ km events. When properly adjusted and jagwire compressionless housings those brakes never let me down. October 06, 2023, 07:07:48 AM |
