Built a Bike for my lovely wife. Since our two kids we did't find much time to ride together. Hopefully it will change now. At least a bit.

Airwolf YFM053 - most of the parts are leftovers of my past bikes. Eagle GX, RockShox SID RL3, Newman Evolution SL X.A.25, Custom decals.

Did you use an aftermarket seatpost? Site list the post as 30.8, I want to make sure I can use and actual size of 30.9 which is the official and correct size of seatpost

Have you used a different seatpost?

Their site says 30.8, I want to make sure I can use an actual 30.9 seatpost

Anyone else have experience with the Trifox SDY20 or the S-works clone. Short term reliability?

I have all of the parts in hand. Both saddles came in at 109/110g, the seatpost is 136g for a 27.2x400mm, I can't remember the bar, but I think right around 140g for 720mm flat. Haven't mounted anything so can't give any feedback on durability yet.

Thank you

Anyone have a handle of some reliable parts for mtb?

Looking for a saddle around 100g or less, seatpost under 150g for 27.2x400, and a handle bar around 130g or less for 750mm.

I have found some that meet these specs on Ali, but don't know how trustworthy the parts are.

Thanks

Puma I am sure it does, but I also assume it is heavy. I am trying to build up a cheaper weight weenie build and you can drop some good weight for cheap on the axles.

Can anyone tell me what the thread pitch and diameter of the through axle is? What kind of replacement axle I need?

Thank you

depending on where he got it from. mine has the bb integrated into the frame and bearing press directly into the frame and need bb clips. terminology get confuseded when talking about bb. at least for me it does.

You have a BB30 version is what it sounds like. Bearing pressed directly into the frame with clips. I ordered the PF30 so I press in to shells that house the bearings.

Pumajr, how has the headset been holding up? Any idea of the specifications of it in case I want to replace it with a CC or something? Did you use the BB?

Experiences? They have some cheap light 29 an 27.5 rims that seem to be on par with specs from Farsports or Light Bicycle.

Thanks

After about a year of going back and forth on what I wanted and then waiting to see if something that ticked all my boxes would come out, I settled. Just bought a Tideace 19" matte black frame with PF30 BB. Just wondering if there is anything special I should know or do to make it perform in tip top?

Thanks

29er / No idea what this frame is, is it ok?
« on: March 05, 2016, 11:16:29 PM »
Does anyone have any experience with this frame?

http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/2016-new-T800-MTB-bike-29er-carbon-frame-142x12-thru-axle-MTB-carbon-frame-29-inch/1394703_32575984145.html

Is it an ok frame? It seems like everyone just mentions the CS models, but for $300 that seems like a deal if it is of quality

Thanks
