Does anyone have any experience with the ltwoo TX? It seems like a killer deal compared to sram and shimano, but there's almost no reviews or information about the groupset.

I'm pretty tired of hearing the usual bike shop talk about how everything other than sram or shimano sucks and breaks. Microshift has been pretty much flawless for me, and ltoo's road and electronic sets seem to be quality. Part of me wants to take the gamble, but I've honestly already overspent on this hardtail and a ~$60 gamble just isn't in the budget.

If anyone has tried it, or really any other mechanical ltwoo groupset I would love to hear your insight.

Likely the egr mech doesnt support 2x as the rd is the only reciever in the drivetrain and needs to send  a signal to shift to the fd. The egr and new erx levers are identical

I remember Trace Velo had problems with his FD not working since it couldn't communicate with the RD which was most likely the main receiver for the shifters. The FD itself doesn't communicate directly. Though it'd be interesting to know if you could mix shifters across various electronic groupset. Like using the LTwoo AE MTB e-shifter mechanism (not sure what to call it) with ER9/X shifters. That would open up the possibilities for other 1x drivetrains at least.

What's the material of the black cogs? Please be specific in what you bought because I assume RIRO, whoever they are, sell different types of cassettes?

Probably this one:

Update on my fork plug slipping. I added a good amount of carbon paste to the plug and inside the tube. No change. It slips even more I think.

I have now removed it, cleaned everything with alcohol and will see.

@Pat, which expander did you put in yours? I am curious since you did not report slippage at that point.

I am looking for 24" carbon wheelset, not much in term of budget options but I found some 24" MTB rims, is there any reason why I could not pair these with goldix M370 or some Novatec hubset and some descent spokes to make a set of light wheels for $350?

I could swear that for a short period of time around the Anniversary sale, an Aliexpress store sold a EDS TX-RA6100 kit that had Aluminum shift levers, rather than carbon, and used cable brakes. This was the inexpensive kit I saw that could be purchased for around $400, but they were all sold out.   When I look up these listings,  it says "page can't be found"

In Japan, I see this kit for sale, but my computer wont translate the page, so I can't read the details to confirm aluminum brake levers.

Edit:  There are TX-RA6100 and TX-RA6000 kits listed I am failrly sure one kit has aluminum brake levers.

But upon inspection it seems like my expander plug did not move, but just the stem maybe? I'm not sure if I should add some carbon paste on my stem. Anyone has suggestions?
Yes you should use carbon paste on the stem/steerer tube interface.

Hi,

nice report! I was wondering what made you choose this particular frame, compared to brands with similar offerings that you know already (e.g., Carbonda 936 or 909)?

Cheers

Did a 125km ride today and the play did not come back. So for now the 9Nm on the expander (higher than recommended) and the 5Nm on the stem bolt seems to hold.

I think i'll give it a try too, but i'm not sure that is what my problem is.

I did 6.5nm on the expander, and 6nm on the stem bolts and i still have some play after my ride.
