Title: Please help trying to build the lightest cheapest road bike around the R8070 DI2
Post by: pokerbarlo on July 20, 2019, 03:28:03 PM
So basically planning on buying a Shimano R8070 DI2 Disc groupset. I am a total noob at building.
Can you guys suggest me the lightest cheapest chinese parts for this groupset:
1. frameset
2. wheelset
3. handle bar and stem
4. saddle
5. Did I forget anything to complete this bike? I am 5'4" btw or 162.5cm tall with 74cm inseam.

Willing to learn if I missed anything please advice.... Getting a mechanic to assemble everything btw.

Here are 2 links to great frame options the first one is by edge design they have the nicest frames for price they come painted and very high quality only issue is wait time of 90 to 120 days. Also lightcarbon.com 007 the same bike phil giamon uses for nove is a great option t1000 carbon but you have to email them unfortunately I got it removed arguing with nove and phil.

For wheels I'd recommend custom build buy the rims from light carbon or yinshun they are the same company. Also nextie has very nice rims but about 400 a set unless you buy from the in stock without decals.

For handlebars and stem edge design international, pro mance, and lightcarbon have great options for high quality intergrated bars and traditional bars and stem.

Are theses two frames available in disc ?
The 007 looks great, but I did send two mails already to lightcarbon and didn't get any reply  ???

I can get it send me a message if you want that frame and we can arrange to have lightcarbon send one. The edge take around 120 days to ship.
