Title: Shimano 12s Deore or Slx
Post by: Slappa on May 22, 2021, 12:57:18 PM
Hi guy's I would like your help!
I've been reading, looking on videos and reviews trying to figure out which Shimano group i should buy for my build.

The price for the Deore is almost half of the slx and the weight difference is like 230 gram.

The only thing I think about is if I will notice the difference in handling/smooth?

I'm currently running Slx 11s on my old bike (Specialized Epic) and I prefer that rather than the xt group that's on the bike from stock.

Deore also smooth shifting. But I would choose SLX if budget allowed.

Shifter and cassette should get the bulk of the money. Rear derailleur makes almost zero difference in quality of shifting. I prefer XTR shifter with Deore derailleur over XT and XT.
