Title: How to know which shock mounting hardware?

From the AM831 posts, I see this:

8x22mm rear shock mounting hardware (linkage side, need to confirm exact measurement)

I have a basic Fox Performance Float DPS shock.  I'll be getting the m8x30 for the frame side.

Searching around via google, looks like there's a m8x22.2, m8x21.84, m8x21.54, m8x20, m8x19.

How do we know which one to order?

From searching this site, looks like others are actually using ones that are larger than what the dealer is saying.  They're saying using these two.

I stand corrected, 22.86 (aka 8x23) should be the right size.

Anyone know if this 22.8 is nearly the same as the 22.86?  We're talking about 6 hundreths of a millimeter so I can't imagine there would be a issue but want to double check.

I can't find any 8mmX30mm anywhere...all out of stock.

Would it be possible to buy one that is longer than 30mm and sand it down myself to make it 30mm? i.e. the 31.75mm long one.
