I've gotten both bikes very close in weight. The 168 cost much more to build up. The 168 also took a lot more part picking to accomplish. I originally build up both with no intention to get my 168 so light.
The 086 I built because my other bike/rims was getting older. My older rim bike was direct mount braked so this is why I picked it. My only disc bike is an older cyclocross bike which is my gravel at 19lbs and has room for 45mm. So I built the 168 just to be lighter that my gravel.
I'll post pics of build sheets and scaled weights.
The 086 was a build and go. The 168 has seen a long slow process. I ordered both frames together from velobuild. Neither frame came with the forks. So that was another 4-6 weeks. I built the 086 first then 168. As I built the 168 I found out there was no seat post clamp. That took10 weeks to recieve. By that point it was full freezing winter.
The 086 is a weird combination for me at least. Direct mount and bb386. I love shimano and used their groupset. So I had to use a non branded bottom bracket that was 386 to 24mm.

The 168 build
Take your time. Be prepared to do a ton of tedious tasks. The cable management is very difficult. I used string and vacuum to feed lines. Then taped a old cable to the string. I could then feed housing. I started with handlebars. Some prefer to go from the back forward with the cables.
I decided to use sensah empire carbon groupset and just my gravel wheels. I am very happy with the sensah groupset. I got the winspace wheels cause I wanted a quality set of rims.
Then I heard sigma ordered the elite drive wheelsets. So I went down the rabbit hole. I ordered up the goldix hollow cranks with oil slick chainrings. I was getting along with the sensah groupset. So I found a used Sram red 22 partial groupset.
The 086 is a 52 while the 168 is a 49. The 086 I used a 90 stem and 100 on the 168. The 086 I'm more upright. The 168 is slammed. The distance to the hoods is exactly the same for me.

How is your experience with the Goldix cranks?

So far fine. I bought a second pair after I did go on gravel with them. Now to be fair I'm 60kg and not a watt monster. Plus I haven't hit that pothole of doom out of no where either.
I always tell guys check out what brakes or survives with the mtbers if you got some weight or tons of power.
Didn't litepro have a hollow 130bcm crank armd years ago? How'd they ever do?
