Title: Ltwoo 2x12 Gravel Groupset possible?
Post by: electrolux on March 29, 2023, 03:58:02 PM
Hi all,

I am considering my groupset option for my gravel build and was thinking about purchasing the Ltwoo 2x12 road groupset and swapping the rear derailleur  with their gravel specific GRT12.

Purchase this groupset https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005035653680.html
Swap the rear derailleur for this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004180403242.html

This could make for a pretty unique 2x12 gravel drivetrain. Of course you would have to be sensible with cassette sizes, maybe a 40/42T max on the rear?

Would anyone with more experience know of potential issues?

Many thanks!

This is what I wanted to do but with the 11sp version. Unfortunately budget didn’t allow it, and at the time you couldn’t get individual pieces. I may convert to that in the future.

I think that
with a 46x30 in front
and an 11x32 or 11x34 cassette
There shouldn't be any problems with a road RD medium cage

I'm also curious if the gravel derailure with the clutch works with the 2x at the front.

Only way to know is to give it a try. I know the Shimano GRX 1x RD can be used on a 2x setup.
