Title: Scratch in carbon fork
Post by: mahaj on April 26, 2023, 02:49:13 AM
Hi all,

I was careless while packing bikes onto a car rack and as a result something rubbed into the carbon fork of my CWind gravel. The scratch is about 10mm long and 3 mm wide. It’s through the paint, I don’t have a caliper but would estimated that it’s around 0.1mm deep.

My initial thought was that it’s mainly cosmetic, but your opinions are much appreciated!

Br,
Juha

Just a scratch.  :)
Good thing is it's in a place you can't really see  ;D I've got a couple self-inflicted gouges in the same exact spot, but mine were caused by carelessly installing brake calipers and not looking at what I was doing.

Fill it in with some paint and cover it up with some nail polish gel or enamel. Fixed!
