Title: Aliexpress insoles?
Post by: dumbmachine on March 06, 2024, 12:08:53 PM
Has anyone tried insoles for high arch support?

Something like these g8 knockoffs ( they don't come in my size   >:( )

Asking $120 for insoles ( looking at you g8s ), seems crazy.

I've ordered them, they are exactly the same as the original ones. You can only order one size which you can cut smaller (size 46 down to 40 I beleive)

What size are you?

The "size 39" insoles are really size 46 (best guest look like they are based on large sized G8) and you  trim down to  your  size.

I cut my ones down to size 42.5

+1 on nickobec comment
I have 2 pairs of these G8 knockoffs, have mine cut to 42 (26cm) but it's pretty much the limit. You can even cut more, but then I believe the arch will be too much ahead even on the limit of positioning

either way, I think it's worth for the price, at least to try.
Both my pairs have 3yrs of use and are still going, the only issue I had is that the arches soften with time (like >1yr of use), but then I just get the upper number and keep on using it. Seems even the original one experience this and you need to get replacements after some years...

I have a set of medium (size 40 to 43) G8 and the heel and arch are almost the same size  and same position as the copies.

So you should get away if you feet are size 40 or 41

That said, I (size 42.5) have the arches slammed all the way back, because that is what works for me.

Bumping old thread because it seemed most relevant. Are these G8 clones still available? Links are dead and haven't been able to find them with the search function.

Like that?

10 bucks + shipping. Not sure about the sizing, though.

If you just want arch support but don't care about the adjustability, there are some options with fixed arch bumps, cheap as dirt.

That's exactly it, except I would need a 46. Thanks.

You might want to ask the seller, as earlier in this thread, it was said it's a one-size item that you would have to cut down yourself.

If you get an answer on sizing can you let us know? I'd need a 48-49 which may not happen from Ali

Try and find the stiff polyurethane ones.. Those you can heat mold to your foot and shoe for a custom fit.. I drilled vent holes into mine to prevent hotspots

Can you explain why and how they are heat mouldable and how to do it? If you have an example on aliexpress of such soles that would be awesome.

Sooo it goes to 304 mm (47/48 ?) and you just cut them shorter for your needs

I just bit the bullet and ordered a pair. Listed size of 39 notwithstanding, they're right around a 46, kinda narrow.

This is similar to what i got
https://a.aliexpress.com/_ondad1b

So what i did was cut to fit my shoe then blast the insole with a heat gun until pliable then quickly insert into shoe and put in my foot and lace tight and stand.. Wait until it cools off and you got custom insoles molded to your foor and shoe
