Hi
I am looking for a chinese road wheelset (or just rim), with 23mm internal width.
Ideally 50mm profile, as much light as possible.
I cannot find any factory or seller among our “used” preferred channels.
Any suggestion ?
Thanks in advance.

I purchased a set of 56mm deep AR56 23mm internal, 30mm external wheels last Fall from Light Bicycle. I had them built up on DT Swiss 240's with steel Sapim spokes.
The process was smooth and my wheels arrived exactly as ordered. They usually have in stock options if you're in a hurry and not worried about customization.
I've put about 5000 trouble free kilometers on them so far. I'll be ordering a lighter pair of race specific wheels from them at some point.

Wow, thank you!
How much do they weight ?
Would you suggest to use also for gravel (not extreme) ?
Tks

With sprint spokes on the rear drive side and brass nipples, they came in at 1470g total.
They seem pretty bomb-proof and well-built. They also have wider options if you plan to run wider tires. I have used both GP5000 28c and 30c, the 28c are nearly a perfect fit IMO. I am currently running a 28c up front and 30c in the rear for a little added cushion on long rides.
The only "issue" with LightBicycle are the nearly endless options. It took me forever to decide on a setup.

Thanks a lot!

YAR47-01 UNI 47mm 410g per rim
YAR56-01 UNI 56mm 445g per rim
Both 23mm internal.
Hooked.
By Yuanan, the OEM for Elite. Leon is on the forum.
Leon sent me his catalogue so i just opened the pdf.
Lightest rims i know of that make sense financially are usually from lightbycicle. being a unit myself i never bought from them because they have weight restrictions and i'd be better off just eating less.

Has anyone had contact from Leon recently?
Im looking for a new set of wheels and have messaged him on here and emailed the company but have had no reply.

I sent an email 2 weeks ago directly on Leon email, no response,
Then I used their website to ask a question from the contact page, and got an answer 3 days later by Cassie
I'm still debating if I should buy from Yuan an or from XM carbon speed

Thanks Lumenir,
I was hoping to deal with them and get a set of lightweight 40mm carbon spoked wheels for my Tarmac SL6.
The lack of response at this stage means ill probably go elsewhere.
There's a great deal on the Elite Edge wheels on Aliexpress, so I might just go for those and maybe upgrade the spokes to carbon myself at some point.

I have the Elitewheels EDGE 35x32. Havent ridden them yet but they look and feel pretty high quality. I kind of wish I got the 45s though.

Any specific reasons you want carbon spokes?Weight? Stiffness? I'm just curious
You won't receive your wheels until quite a while, so may be waiting for a week for an answer using their website can be a good idea if you really want carbon spokes.

Same experience with Leon despite buying from him in the past so I ended up going with CSC wheels on Ali, the price to spec ratio is pretty incredible, let’s see how they age, but the few who have them here seems to be happy.

Just trying to get the lightest set of wheels possible at 40/45mm depth - the carbon spokes would offer a bit of extra weight saving.
The 40mm Elite Edge are coming in at 1290g so thats not bad at all, ill wait a few days to see if Leon gets back to me, but if not I think ill go for these.

That explains why he's been ghosting me on whatsapp for 5 days then :D
I guess he's on holidays or something.

Just had an email back from Leon, just in case anyone else is waiting!

Are the AR56s still the only 23mm option? Am looking for a similar setup but have seen in a discussion over at weightweenies regarding the V profile of the AR56 as being a bit dated. Would like to stick to 23mm as I am running 28s and not planning to change that. Any ideas here?

Yoeleo is currently having a Black Friday sale on both their wheels and frames.
My set of C60 DB PRO wheels came in real world weight of 1373g with steel spokes. Rim specs are 23mm internal 32mm external. I imagine the C50 version will be around 1330-1350g. Yoeleo said these can pull double duty for gravel as well.
The BF sale drops the price from $1000 to $800
Full Disclosure: I do have discount code to save an additional 10% which puts these at around $720. Anyone can send me a PM for the code.
Well before I was provided any promo code from Yoeleo, I had already done a video on these wheels months ago. And I've concluded this new latest line of DB Pro wheels will make it into my Top 5 favorite (ready to ship) wheels. The specs to weight to price ratio are pretty compelling. Of course it's very tough to compete with OEM suppliers on price if you're willing to wait a few weeks for fulfillment.

What's your kickback on such sales? At ~700, it's entering OEM territory, except the OEM can maybe spec carbon spokes - although i havent compared the hubs. So it's becoming a legit deal.

I built a pair of Light Bicycle AR56's last year on DT240's with Sapim spokes. Not the lightest setup available but I've been very pleased putting about 8000km on them this Summer. I've had them on the roughest of roads and even some gravel. I find them more manageable in crosswinds than the 51mm deep Bontrager's I had on the same bike when rolling a 28mm Conti GP5000. The whole process with LB was smooth but they do take a while to ship when customized.

thanks everyone for the suggestions. actually stumbled on this comment https://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,5285.msg66449.html#msg66449 (https://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,5285.msg66449.html#msg66449) the other day and reached out to the various oems as I can wait a bit. xcs doesn't seem to have what I am after, waiting to hear back from farsports and yuanan and for light bicycle: based on the builder on the site I am getting roughly $860 without shipping for the ar55s with house hubs and 1420 spokes. does that seem correct for pricing?

sounds 100-200-300+ more than i'd expect to spend, but maybe i m missing something.

Or maybe I am doing something wrong? Its straight off the website, basically all the default options for the ar55 after 10% discount

My kickback is 5% which is interesting to me for the same exact reasons you mentioned. I'd guess Yoeleo is going for high volume this Black Friday.
The wheels are pretty stiff considering they are steel spokes. Yoeleo opted for 24 spokes front and rear. For such a low weight with steel, makes me wonder how light these wheels could be with carbon spokes.
I like Yoeleo's gravel frame way more than their road bikes. They were far ahead of its time with the current wide tire trend. My G21 came out two years and has clearance for 53mm tires.

have decided on farsports in the end with a 58R/50F combo. contacted them via Whatsapp on the number thats linked on the oem site. as this is my first time buying, can anyone tell me how it works? do i pay first (seems like i can do bank transfer or paypal -- which is better?) any other tips? thanks!

anyone have experience here dealing with being sent the wrong spec wheels? in this case the front depth is not what i asked for but i am basically being told to accept it ...
