Title: Does anyone make a "flat bar" gravel groupset?
Post by: Takiyaki on September 13, 2024, 06:29:52 PM
Too late for me now... I am in the middle of a flat bar gravel build and it's my first disc build. I got an MTB groupset but couldn't figure out why the brake calipers wouldn't mount. After looking at the disc groupset I have for a road build I saw the difference between MTB & road calipers.

I guess the move would have been to get the brake levers and calipers separate but I wonder if anyone makes "flat bar" groupsets? I'm guessing they make them for hybrid bikes

It's not necessarily MTB vs Road - it's just flat mount vs post-mount.

You can mount post-mount calipers on a flat mount frame with the appropriate adapters.

Chiner groupset only? If not, Shimano makes GRX flat bar groupset.

LTwoo has a device that converts any RD into electronic. I'm surprised no one has used one on this forum:

I'm guessing you can't do the opposite though right? $50 lesson learned I guess.
