hi guys building up a new bike, looking for a lightweight recommendation for the cranks and applicable 2x chainring, bonus points if things look good :) bb is t47-68 so id assume most axle types can be accommodated. Any recommendations would be great.

No real point in aliex cranks when shimano 105 is so cheap

id imagine 105 is quite heavy no? as in 300ish grams heavier than what can be got, or it used to be when i last built a roadbike in 2019

Riro and Lexon have updated carbon cranks that look nice. Though that personal preference.
The older Riro carbon crank is a bit cheaper if you’re on a tight budget.
If you want cheap and functional, Senicx.

i dont mind spending reasonable money for reasonable gains, i was looking at the riro ones alright but they seem to use srams old 3 bolt direct chainring connection, is there any good 2x chainrings for that or would you need an adapter?

Racework and leese have options as well.

Yes, that is the new model. But if you want to use a powermeter, you don't have much options with this interface.

Yeah fair. Maybe cybrei is worth a look for cranks.
-
these look real heavy - 400g CF arms+100g al7075 spindle+50g spider. senicx pr2 cranks weigh about the same
400 is for the arms and spindle.
-
I hope so, but why would they list it separately under weight ("central axis 95g")?
There are pictures of the crank on a scale. It does't get more clear than that :D
Ediy: they mean the BB is 95gr
-
Any opinion on these rockbros cranks? Seem lighter than the riros for the cranks and axle.

I wouldn't put too much trust into those listings' infos.
Sample size 1: The arms are fairly light at 260 g for 165 mm, but the axle is quite the chonker with ~130 g.
Overall weight still checks out.
