I'm looking for 30mm external width rim brake wheels. Do they exist? Or because 30mm tyres have problems on most brake calipers and frames no one makes the?
The widest I can find in elite drives and a discontinued ar56 bby lightbicycle.
I have a newer gen rim brake giant TCR and want to fit 30mm wheels and tyres on it.

:) I guess not elite drive are the widest i can find.

I think Lightbicycle do some. At least they did.

I was looking for 30 external as well albeit disc variant and ended up with farsports hyper series. not sure if they do a rim brake version but maybe give them a shout

What is the rim height you need? We have a rim brake wheelset with a height of 50mm and an outer width of 29.3mm. If you are interested, you can contact me through WhatsApp

MAtter, i assume this is the Tagoola DAO classic.
Good price and good width but the weight is just too much for me. Im looking for a lighter set.
Kyle.

I added your WhatsApp, we can provide configuration upgrade, the weight can be reduced to about 1477g

Little late, but maybe this will help someone. All modern short reach rim brake calipers max out at 23-25mm rim width. Mostly at 23. So you might possibly be able to run a 30mm wide tire with your particular frame and caliper but getting effective braking (assuming they can fit at all) with a 30mm rim will be problematic.

In that case how are people running Zipp 303 (26.4mm), Winspace (~28mm) rim brake wheels? Older generation brakes indeed maxed out at 25mm, but most recent rim brakes do accept 28mm wheels

I got direct mount rim brakes from Campy. My wheels measure 29.2 at the brake track. Works easily. I used them with standard Chorus calipers, Bontrager brakes and Ultegra calipers before. In fact, my current brakes would probably accept even more.

Not really the case. I had gen 2 Sram Red calipers with 29 rim width and 28 mm tires. They can easily fit 31-33 external width and 30 mm tire.
