Thanks for the response. Any feedback on ride and build quality? Do you have any pics?
I saw this video recently on the X43 which seems concerning for longevity and don't know if they have any warranty support. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/duqORM2P7Iw
I am not that mechanically inclined and the wheeltop groupset is ~700+ CAD for me alone so everything together seemed attractive. Can explore doing a build from scratch.
Hello everyone,
are there any more buyers here in the forum who can share their experiences?
I am interested in the bike as a cost-effective alternative and am thinking about placing an order.
Some good photos in daylight would also be nice.
What weaknesses have you identified? I would be happy to receive some more information...

You're probably better off buying the Kocevlo frame from AliExpress and building yourself, it will be a similar price but you'll be able to choose the parts along the way.Yep

Hello.
I'm also thinking about buying this bike.
HBuying the Kocevlo frame and Wheeltop shifter costs almost the same as the TT-X42 with carbon wheels and shipping to Europe, €1250.
Maybe there's something I'm missing.
Regards
I see it like you do. From my perspective, the package is unbeatable in terms of price. I can't understand how the package can be offered so cheaply. I'm considering whether to buy the deal or not. What bothers me the most is the 42 handlebar. Due to the fully integrated cockpit, a replacement is probably not so easy, which is why it puts me off a bit. Actually, I don't need the bike, but the Wheeltop groupset would really tempt me. I’m watching the deals (spring, summer, back to school, etc.), maybe the price can even be pushed down to 1100€ (including shipping to Germany). If I buy it, I will report back...

... and they said "just tighten it".
For what it's worth, I ordered the plain black finish, and ended up at 1.101eur with shipping to Denmark, using a 60eur off coupon, few days ago. That's also including the DPD shipping where 25% VAT is included.Nice list! Any chance you have this in a spreadsheet with links to product purchase pages? :-)
I'm in the same boat as you in terms of value-for-money. For Europe, I don't see how that can be beat doing a self-source build when VAT is added on top. See raisinberry's example. The kocevlo bars is priced at 60USD, but the price i see, because of VAT ends up at 74USD. Applying that to the entire build, it ends up being 1460USD instead.
Hi.
What size did you order? I'm in doubt, I'm 182cm tall and have an inseam of 86cm.
Regards
I bought one of these.
Maximum clearance is 30c, 32c is dependant on wheel and tyre combination.
I paid $1800 delivered to Australia.
If I had my time again I would have just built up a bike from scratch. If you start replacing parts it will end up costing a lot more.
The wheels are really heavy, 1900 grams. (I got the carbon wheels)
I have replaced the following: Crankset, axles, saddle, tyres. New wheels will be the next purchase which will take the bike to around 7kg.

Hi I'm in Australia also, and it seems like an awesome deal still. I would want to get the weight low, are you sure you were able to get it to 7kgs? That seems perfect. I have rim brake light bikes at 7.2, so if accurate that would be very cool. I would also want to change to 38cm bars.

You can but it doesn't make sense financially. Get a more modern frame and build it up. Otherwise you're replacing wheels, crank, handlebar and saddle.

And then investing 300€ in changing to a second-hand Ultegra crankset (140€), a new Ultegra cassette (80€), a Shimano chain (35€) and Galfer discs. And it turns out to be a pretty decent bike, for 1440€ I don't think there's anything better. I had thought of putting together a bike with the TT-X68 frame and the Wheeltop electronic shifters, but that alone is 1400€.

The frame is really quite dated, you'll be looking to replace the wheels eventually too. Tyre clearance is 32mm at a stretch, I run 28mm as the stock wheels are offset.
Very interesting indeed! What frame and wheels would you recommend? Thanks
If that frame doesnt really clear 32C, it's a deal breaker for me.
The wheels are really bad.
I can pull the trigger, delivered to France, for 1430 eur. At which point, i have a nice groupset, wheels i wouldnt want to ride, an outdated frame, and the cheapest components in existence.
I think it's a great turn key deal for anyone who just wants "a bike". The moment you drill into it, it stops making sense. And putting ultegra components on this is putting lipstick on a pig. I could go point by point why, but i'd have to charge for the time it'd take to explain :D
I think the biggest risk is spending good money after bad on such a platform, and never having a nice riding experience because the frame and wheels just suck.
They have released this new model TT-X80 http://tantancycling.com/index.php?_m=mod_product&_a=view&p_id=1188I just saw it on AliExpress too https://a.aliexpress.com/_mKp3B9N Do you think this frame is better than the TT x42? It seems more aerodynamic.
Which is $899 USD before shipping and other fees.
I inquired if they could offer a paint job but at this time only in matte black.
I'm asking the seller some questions about the TT-X42, but he's not answering. I wonder if you can help me:
Is the cassette HG (Shimano) or XDR (Sram) freehub?
Do the hydraulic brakes come bled? Do they send a bleeder container?
Do the shifters come pre-adjusted?
Thanks
