Are these legit? It seems like someone could build themselves a dual sided PM for under $500. I'm always a bit suspicious of buying big name brand things from AliExpress though.

I’ve seen these a few times and wondered…
-
the majority of Aliex pedal spindle report failure in fatigue test compared to "official" titanium spindle.
The material seems to be softer and premature wearing
It's not 100% titanium , it's an alloy with hi % of titanium

These have nothing to do with that-they're powermeter spindles from Garmin without the pedal bodies.

So they should be a drop in fit for Shimano SPD-SL pedal bodies?
Hopefully DC Rainmaker does a test.

I just don't see the value in risking $500 like this when there's an abundance of proven spider power meter options from Magene and XCadey for $300 a pop. If you have a DA crank you can replace the entire unit with an XCADEY crank with PM and 24mm spindle that is lighter than a non-PM DA crank for less than $500. Does "true" dual-sided power really bring that much more value compared to virtual dual-sided power you get from spider PMs?
The original Garmin vector pedals had a reputation for being finicky to begin with. I've had my share of software issues with Magene's original dual-sided crankarm pods. I can't imagine this solution would be anywhere near reliable enough to justify a $500 hail-mary

I hear you, but if you wanted a pedal system and had the bodies already, these axles are what, $60. Yeah, you'd need the conversion kit and some odds and ends, but given that the system as a whole is pricey, it might not be a bad idea.
Personally, I love my spider based pm's. I'm on Time pedals so never considered a pedal pm, but people that I know that have the Rally's really like them, and they have a narrower q than the Assiomas.

$60? You sure you're looking at the right thing?
As has been put above, I don't see any reason to take a gamble on this when there's reliable spider options in the $300 range.

LOL. no. Typical ali mistake, main photo was displaying the shafts but the item selected was the bolt. Yeah, at 300 bucks I wouldn't bother.
Seems like a fair number of zero sale sellers selling cheap "Rally" pedals, lol.

I have single sided Rally pedals that I got pretty cheap about two years ago (thanks to a friend with industry discounts) so I was mildly interested in just getting the right power spindle, but the price was not good enough for me to take a risk. And I don't actually have any need for a dual sided PM. My bike's bottom bracket area is kind of beefy and does not fit most PM spiders so I am generally curious about pedal options. I tried an XCADEY spider from Panda Podium but had to return it. Shortly after I returned it I noticed they put a note on the site saying they're not compatible with T47 BBs.
