Title: Carbonda - paint
Post by: demeaux on March 03, 2025, 09:43:14 AM
Hi
I'd really like to get an idea of the types of paint job Carbonda can do.
I'm pretty certain I'm getting a 505-sl, but when it comes to paint I'm not sure what I want. glitter, simple gradient, one colour, two colour? With velo bike they have examples on their page, carbonda: less so.

Pictures are better than words!

Just to clarify - if you had / have a carbonda bike and you want to share some pictures of the paint you had from them that would be great.
thanks!

There are some good pics of custom paint in the early posts of the FM1001 and FM1002 threads.

All my Flybike/Carbonda frames (except for the Nukeproof Dissent I’m currently building, which has very professional sophisticated paint with a slick looking top tube logo) are the default matte black or semi-bare carbon (FM1003) so they wouldn’t be very instructive for you.

They definitely offer fades, 2-3 tone multi color, color changing prismatic colors (purple green and purple blue pictures in the FM1001/1002 threads), sparkles etc.

I’m not sure if the more professional quality paints they use on the branded frames Flybike makes are available through Carbonda for individual jobs; even the prettier options seem to be a bit prone to chipping and scuffing a little more easily than the best paints…but it’s solid for the price, and still recommended in my opinion.
