Title: How to make a Kocevlo stem stealth?
Post by: ricchirock on May 23, 2025, 03:58:26 AM
Hi!I have this Kocevlo internal routing stem (the only one I found with 58mm top cap to fit Velobuild 168). But I would like to make it stealth, removing the white brand on the sides...
Does anyone have experience with this? Or at least to make it less visible.
Scratch it away it would not be possible because I want to preserve the black under it. Using some solvent?

Nail polish remover should work.

Well acetone I would have suggested little stronger than Nail polish.
Have to be careful it does not strip the paint or finishes though

If its a screened logo on top of whatever clear acetone is the go to. Do it routinely with Kalloy Uno's. If its under the clear you're sol unless you want to refinish the stem.

I actually have a frame that I've covered in black carbon fiber decal tape. I'm too lazy to sand it + repaint it, so this is the next best thing!

It takes a while for the acetone to remove the clear finish and then start working on the graphics it self. I did this to my carbon handlebar and it's fine. Just clean it up with alcohol once finished.

I popped the white label of my white kocevello handlebars with a scalpel. Some of the white required more scraping off.

I thought too at the scalpe.... but I gave up and found on Aliexpress another stem with internal routing with no logos. I didnt want to destroy this one. I will keep this one for some future build
