I hear on other forums that the FM056 frame is the way to go for a 29er? Does it matter which FM056 I buy or are they all the same quality? I have a new trek marlin 7 and would like to transfer as many parts as possible, is there a better frame option? Thank you guys for any help you can provide. I know there are many posts through out the interweb about the FM056 but I could not find much on the questions that I have asked.

Well I have the 056 and very much like it. I weigh 230 lbs all geared up and no issues whatsoever riding at least once a week for almost 2 years now. The frame has proven itself.
That said, if I were to buy a Chiner hardtail today, I'd probably go with 041 as it's a bit lighter and the only thing I don't like about my 056 are the lines of the frame. Imo, it's not the most aesthetic of the frames and the alternatives look better to my eye. Of course, that's subjective. There's also the 256 and 106 that are worth looking into. But if you find a good price on the 056, I wouldn't hesitate to get it, it's a great frame.
And to answer your question, most of the frames sold by the various manufacturers are basically the same frame. Don't worry about that too much, just find a a consistent and honest seller. Peter from xmcarbonspeed.com and Bert from xmiplay.com are worth checking into to see what they have in stock. Between the two of them you should be able to find what you want in stock.
As far as transferring parts form your Marlin, just make sure you do plenty of research so that everything's compatible with your new frame. Sounds like your in the initial stages of research so
just be sure to do your due diligence as far as research to avoid any issues.

One more newbie question, I ride a 19.5 frame right now so would a 19 256 frame fit me? Also BSA vs bb30 for a bottom bracket? Which will be best in the long run? I hate asking questions when I don't have a lot to contribute to the forum, but maybe in the future I can.

I still would recommend a BSA bottom bracket, it's a tried and true BB design. If you are around 5'-10-5'-11" you would still go with a 19" frame.

I have been looking into the 056 and the 256 and asked hong fu and xmiplay about pricing. I was told the 056 is $400 before shipping and the 256 was $545 before shipping. Can someone explain the difference in price or justify spending that much more on the 256?

Other than the 256 being a newer design they are both hardtail frames, the market is willing to pay more for a newer design so the price is going to be higher.
I'd also recommend contacting Peter at xmcarbonspeed.com and getting a quote from him, his customer service is better than the rest.

Haven't checked on prices lately so wasn't sure how much price difference there was between the various frames. Just depends on what you want to spend your money on, man. The 256 is a bit lighter, and some just like it better (geometry, aesthetics, weight, ride characteristics) Thing is, $545 is still cheap for a carbon hardtail. Personally, since it doesn't sound like you're set on a specific frame of any kind, and unless you simply won't be happy unless you have the latest, and lightest frame, I say get the 056/7 and put that $145 you save towards carbon rims. My 2 cents.

+1 for the 056/057 with carbon rims! Got mine from Peter, and still loving it. I don't think you can go wrong with either, but I went with the 057 because at the time (~May 2014), it would have taken an extra couple of months to get a 256, effectively making me miss most of the summer.

Thanks I found a really good deal on the 057 so I will probably go with that get a carbon fork and rims
