Pretty good deal on a high end wheelset:

Comes with all you need, the wheels come with Stan's tape/strips already installed:

Definitely a good, solid, wheel set at a very reasonable price.

So, does anybody know how good these hubs are? Equal to Hope Pro Evo?

The Sun hubs have 3 pawls, the Hope Pro 2 have 4 pawls.  Having more pawls allows the free hub to have more points of engagement, however not a lower degree of rotation before engagement.  More points would theoretically be more robust since you won't be applying the load to more points, however, more pawls also can mean more drag on the hub.

The number of pawls is the obvious difference between the two, the general hub designs are similar though.  What I don't know is if one brand uses better quality materials, has better seals, is easier to service, etc.

Thanks for the reply.

So.. if one was considering some Hope Pro hubs laced to some Stan's flow rims, it'd be pretty stupid to not just buy these instead. Man, it's tempting I just think I'll hold out for carbon hoops. Will be about $200 more though. Hmmm.. decisions, decisions.

For me, I like the option of spending a little extra for the carbon hoops.

Has anyone seen a real world measurement of weight ?
My black flags were listed at 1850 but weighed in at about 2100. Huge difference.
I will say Sun Ringle does make some nice wheels , I bought mine after reading many good things so Im sure these are a great value if the weight is accurate.

If you read enough.. I think it's pretty much accepted knowledge that these Sun Ringle complete wheel builds are very nice for the price, but heavier than listed.
