I'm looking into this frame. Apparently it's a Specialized Stumpjumper clone. Can anybody tell me how this rides and handles. I plan to use it for xc racing. I'm a CAT 1 with a Trek Superfly currently in a 27.5", but looking to get into a 29er. I've seen one video on youtube where the guy complains about the rear end being flexy. Any input appreciated. If there's anything else comparable to this frame then please let me know that too. Thanks.

If you hammer it(really hard), there is some flex and the rear wheel may loose some adherence on gravel roads, like in a final sprint :)
Otherwise it is very fun to ride, and easy to slide the rear where you want it to be.
But it is my second bike.
I now ride a 041 sold by Peter here.
It is much stiffer, has almost no flex. But once you take a direction, changing it is harder than with the 062.
I had a 256( that I broke, my fault ) and it was in the middle of the two above.

i've been on mine for two years now with no issues. The handling on the bike is fairly snappy. Far as XC bikes go...it feels pretty fun.

Candy from Workswell has been e-mailing me a special on 062 ($329) with shipping. I'm not up on the tech side of things. Any suggestions on the bottom bracket?

I went for BSA for the bulletproof reliability and quick installation but others prefer PF30 and like it, BSA has a 100g weight penalty over PF so if you want to save grams thats your best option. PF has good options on cranks and if your a heavyweight! rider maybe stiffer, at 67kg with XO1 carbon cranks i have no problems. Its a fast and playful XC frame......... I'd recommend it and had great service from Candy :D

I would go with Bb92 or GXP.
I'm pissed that my bb30 xx1 crankset won't fit my new frame that's bb92.
From what I see most new frames are bb92.

I forgot to mention. If you're Cat 1, you should be on a team, and should get a team deal. That would put you on a brand frame for less. Given a good price I would always go for a brand frame.
I bet the crack on the seat tube that the youtube review mentioned was related to the seatpost being too short.

For me there is no better bike at the moment. I would totally recommend.
I've been riding it now for 3500 km and I've never had any problems with it so far. Also in race action.
The problem with the rear axle the youtuber talks about, I can't confirm. But I changed my rear axle for a Shift Up anyway for the weight .
The dropouts haven't been a problem, too. For me, with 65 kg the frame is stiff enough. I think you would feel the flex of the wheelset before the flex of the frame when pedalling hard.
The chiner frame I had before the 062 was crap in comparison..
And of course you can build it very (not 21 lbs ;D) light ;) This one comes at 7,9 kg or 17,4 lbs with a 1155 g frame with a bb30 bottom bracket.

Long spindle version can be fit to BB92 using RF cinch 30mm BB92 bottom bracket, albeit with some elbow grease. I did that today, but no idea how reliable this setup will turn out. Had to grind down plastic washers a bit, that's the only way to preload bearings and eliminate lateral play. Wheels MFG and RWC seem to offer similar products. I've been running same cranks on a 73mm english threaded bb and Rotor BSA30 cups, thanks to Chinertown too.

I could not fit my XX1 BB30, the spindle was too short. About 90mm while the BB itself was 92. See the picture. Even without the washers it was going to be too small.

I'm on a road and cross team and even the deals we get through a bikeshop are more then I want to spend. I have since turned my focus on xc skiing so dabbling in a mt. Bike race every now and then is my purpose.

I'm about to pull the trigger on this frame, but not sure on which size to go with. I'm 5.5 1/2" or almost 5.6"(67cm), inseam of around 31". If you're around my height which size did you go with? I've always liked a smaller framed bike to throw around, but just don't know if the 15.5 is too small. I have a Trek Superfly in a 27.5" and have the 15.5", but it's pretty maxed out seatpostwise and not sure I could get much more out of it. I feel just a slight bit cramped on it, but the next size up just seemed way too big.

I would advise anyone to hold off buying from WorksWell until they resolve the issue Jar-head and myself are pursuing regarding seat tube cracks.... If they won't honer the warranty...
