Title: What bike is the ican P8 modeled after?
Post by: R_Pierce on July 31, 2017, 02:26:16 AM
Good morning guys, does anyone know what bike the ican P8 is modeled after??

I'm torn between this and the FS27.  I prefer a threaded BB and the cable routing of the P8 but would like a little longer front travel (130-140mm) as apposed to 120mm they spec.  Mostly used on tighter, rooted up single track that is more XC oriented.

I've heard it looks like a Norco but I don't know.
I think you'd be fine with 140/120 it's not gonna hurt it.
I'm building up an FS27 and plan on running 140 maybe even 150.

After some digging it appears to be very close to both Norco and Transition in both appearance and numbers.  Ordered the frame yesterday and it shipped today.

Hopefully it will arrive in a couple of weeks and I can transfer everything over from my hardtail.  So it will be a 120/120 for the time being.  Once I upgrade the Reba RL to a Pike I'll go to 130mm front travel.  (Unless I feel the bike is plenty capable with the 32mm stanchions of the Reba, then I won't be upgrading)

Yes, it's definitely the Norco Range/Sight/Optic.
