Title: Difference between FLX-FR-701 and CS 496?
Post by: cwareham on August 14, 2017, 11:10:08 AM
Hi there, new member. I think I've been through most of the plus bike posts, and didn't find the topic in a search. What's the difference between the Flyxii 701 and the CS 496 27.5/29 plus frames? Price difference is pretty material, wondering if the price of the rigid fork on the carbon speed option is the difference. Any specific feedback on the differences between the two vendors?

Thanks!

I found another frame that's slightly different, looks like the CS496, but takes a 27.2 seat post and you can get it with BSA bottom bracket:

Notice it's a bit different around the seat tube junction:

vs. the FR-701/CS496:

The one from PinkBike is a Workswell / Sobato frame and it looks like he is being a middle man here in the states to offer faster service. Even the pictures they use in the ad are straight from WW. Not that it's a bad thing, just that it's not a new frame. I've been very pleased with mine.
