Title: Please help me get this brake lever hose out
Post by: Builderman71 on November 30, 2017, 08:26:52 PM
Hi I need help removing the brake hose on a left/rear right/front zoom hydraulic brake set and I need to swap the levers so I don’t go over the handlebars. I’ve tried loosening the bleed bolt, putting the lever in a vice and pulling the hose as hard as I can  (I’m not weak)...still can’t get this hose out. And yes, I did remove the bolt joining the hose to the lever...still can’t get this @#(&&$ hose out!

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Builderman71

It seems it has been over torque.

Perhaps WD40 or some other similar product might help loosen it.

What is the model ?
Did you try to gently rotate or move the hose in multiple directions with a plier?

Hi-its a ZOOM HB-875 HB875 MTB hydraulic disc brake set.  I tried using a wrench to pull the hose out...no luck...it twists in the lever but doesn't pull out.  At this point I'd just cut the hose and install new but that won't help with getting the portion of hose inside the lever out.  I'll swing by the LBS today and see if they can shed any light on the issue.
