Title: CS-197 Rear brake installation

I'm building a CS-197.  So far so good except for the rear brake installation.  I'm trying to fit a Tektro Novela using the bracket supplied but the space is too narrow too fit the calliper.  Should I use another type of calliper (flat mount) or am I doing something wrong ?
