Title: What frame did I buy?
Post by: sherpaxc on September 17, 2014, 12:10:55 PM
I bought this one and I really like it (I just got it built up and will post pics soon) but I am not sure what "model" it is.  Can anyone help me identifiy it?  http://www.ebay.com/itm/221526014094?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Looks like something from Flyxii.com.  Possibly an FR-216?

THanks.  I have no idea.  The frame and fork were really inexpensive on ebay and the size seemed right.  I really like the fit and finish of it.  The headset is causing me issues.  It's quit stiff when being turned and I can't figure out how to correct it.  About to take it to the bike shop to see what they can do.  I like it enough to where I might get another one.  I'm on the hunt though to find one that will accept a 2.4 Ardent in the back, or the larger Ikon.

That looks like the BM-01 without looking at it closely.

For the headset, most likely you need one of the thin metal shims on top of the stack.  This has been discussed a bit on this forum.  Just do a search for "headset" and you should find the discussion where you need two think metal shims on top of the headset stack.
