Well seeing no area for 26ers I guess I got a ask here.
Has anyone built one?
My son is do for a new bike, and thinking of building him a 26ers.

I don't think many people on this forum have built one, 26ers are so 5 years ago ;D. Although I seem to remember a few conversations about someone building a 26er for their son/daughter or wife. Do some searching around, you are not the first person to ask.

My wife is 5'3" and swore she'd not even try a 29er -- until she tried a 29er. Wound up giving her old full suspension to our 12 yo niece and it fits her pretty well with a decent amount of room to grow, really hoping it gets her hooked, we'll see, but the 26er is perfect for that. She lucked out, too, because we had a crapton of really nice 26er parts sitting around. Not many kids have Stan's Crest wheels with Continental Race King SuperSports with Sapim Lasers on BHS hubs. :)

Nick, I too looked at the CS-016 as Peter has been great to work with, but check on the reach. It's long. Longer than my son's current 24" wheel bike.

I am going to make a 26er, they are not so five years ago Carbon Dude, they are very much now! Lol......Only because I am going to be putting one together with a hardtail frame and many new parts at half price or second hand and hardly been used parts and it is now!
Being only 10stone 6lbs in English, 146lbs in the other English and 66kg for our European chums 5' 8" and 52 years of age, I am not be going to notice the small incremental difference of 27.5er or 29er, although may see the incremental difference of lower weight and easy to control bike and of course the monetary saving over the more current on trend larger sizes.
I have most of the parts bought and will post a picture and list of them when I get a bit of time if anyone is interested?
Now that I have found Chinertown it is a great site with a good rapport between all posters

That's a good point slowshifter, I bet you could build up a 26er for a good price. I always see tons of nice wheelsets and forks at a deep discount online

I did build one. Based on a 19" Beiou frame, it is still a nice 26er, and although I am 178cm... I did not even think of going 27.5 or 29. Maybe because I have never tried those and it was kinda obvious its gotta be 26er anyway ;)
