Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
Carbonda reply me SL version is 820 usd. Is it the right price?
Same price as last year, yes.

Re: Carbonda Cfr 1056
The image I posted was for the Falcon Pro AR55 rims and wheelsets.

It is listed as being 28 mm wide, but since it's U shaped, it's actually 30 mm at its widest point. If you are following the 105 rule, it makes a difference running the 25mm Conti 5000 TLs. The 25mm 5000 TLs pump up to around 28mm wide and sit flush with my AR 46s. Looks nice and tidy, but apparently not aerodynamically optimized.

My eyes need an update ::)

Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
that's a hell of a nice build! Very light as well. I wonder if you can share the part list with weights. Must have cost a fortune...
when did you order the Piccola? must be ages ago...

also I wonder how @Vipassana got his/her Piccola...

My initial build list is somewhere in this thread about 100 pages before that one...
Unfortunately I didn't update it, nor the final cost. So it is not very relevant anymore.
I try to convince me, it didn't cost me more than 6500€ ???
Usually I order the parts when I get the frame. But luckily here almost all parts were ordered in June/July 2020.

Re: Carbonda FM909
I read FM936 the whole thread and FM 936 used by many brands like NS bikes, Vitus, Steven.. etc.

Is this FM909 frame also used for any brand?
It is new. Time will tell.
But Carbonda seems good at selling their frames to brands.

Re: Reasonable Chinese wheels
Depends how reasonably priced you need ... aluminium or carbon?

I just bought a set of carbon wheels from 'Elite Wheels' on AliExpress and I've been really impressed with the quality for the price
https://elitewheels.aliexpress.com/store/1859081?spm=a2g0o.search0302.0.0.48cd7552y8kjZt

I paid £258 ($360), which is kind of crazy considering that many 'branded' aluminium disc wheels cost more.

Thanks for the reminder.
Which model did you buy?

Re: Recommendations for lightweight Full suspension XC/Trail frame
Thanks for the recommendations!

Doing some quick research seems like these frames have fairly aggressive (relative to peers) stack-reach and seat tube angle.

Its all relative but curious to hear from people who have ridden these frames feel how bent over they are compared to other bikes and any knee problems from the steep seat tube angle?

Looking to avoid numb hands and sore knees!!

With the 936 you are more toward the front wheel than before, with a shorter stem and steeper seat tube.
I didn't get any hands or knees trouble so far.

Re: My TanTan FM199
Is the 799 better than 199-B? By what means?
The 199-B is flat mount which today limits brake choices.
If I remember well lighter and with a better geometry.
Cleaner cable entry(only one).
And i'm not particularly fond of the 799 squarish tubing.
But I need a 21" and a 17"/or 15", hopefully from the same builder to save on shipping.

Re: Recommendations for a carbon saddle? I have this one on my road, gravel and MTB :
https://a.aliexpress.com/_m0bVL65

It is 83g, solid and surprisingly comfy.
Well... if you ride regularly and with bibs.

Not a big investment to try in any case.
And... I buy them second hand if you're not happy  ;D

Re: modern geo 29" carbon hardtail in XL/21"
Some people here have bought the frame.
https://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,3091.0.html
I struggle because of the press fit BB I would prefer a BSA one. Everything else looks like a good offer.

With me commenting twice on the thread... my memory is definitely gone [facepalm]
