Re: TanTan FM202 Og-evkin QONQI VeloBuild VR066
So which seller or brand of the three offers you the best guarantee, or gives you the most confidence?

I would just check this forum and see what others say about the brands you are considering.
If you value warranty/honesty and/or your time you can cross OG-Evkin off your list. So only 2 more to go  :D

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
Step 1:
Disconnect the cables from both derailleurs
Step 2:
Be absolutely sure there is no moisture in the cable or port on the derailleurs. Thoroughly inspect with a flashlight, and let it dry overnight if you want to be absolutely sure.
Step 3:
Rear derailleur: create a strip of ductape (2cm x 5cm), connect the cable and wrap it around the derailleur + cable to make a tight fit. Press down on the ductape to ensure no moisture will get in. Make sure the tape surpasses the "cup" (poor design) which fits the cable.
Front derailleur: unmount the whole unit so you have better access to the port. And repeat the process for the FD. This one of more finicky, but just try to make sure you have a reasonable connection. The FD is less likely to ingress water as the port is downward facing, whereas the RD is essentially a convex shape, waiting to pick up rain.
Step 4:
Ride!

Can't you use some dielectric grease?

It amazes me how people keep defending Ltwoo and these groupsets with all these problems... It's not like we're talking about a 125USD Sensah mechanical groupset...
It's like buying a frame, seeing it has a crack when it arrives and saying: "I'll just put some epoxy on there and ride it, it's the cost of being an early-adopter"

Re: Magene P505 PES Base Spider Powermeter
I need a non-Boost fitment for SRAM 3 bolt (0mm offset). What are my options here?

I have installed a chairing to mine on the outside and measured the chainline. It is 48- 49mm. Maybe that can help you choose?
I am going to use it in a 1x configuration.

Re: Hygge Aero Carbon Frame
Anyone know what sort of max tire width is? Spec says 28mm, wondering if it is a bit larger as typical.

My 28's measure 30,5mm. There is space to go one size up in the rear, but in the front it's almost maxed out.

There are some comments in this youtube video comments section about tire size. 32mm (real size) seems to be the absolute max for front.
So if you've got wide rims, 28 front (tire size, not measured) and 30mm back might be the safe bet.

I didn't have any issues with bottom bracket thread. Everything was nice and smooth.

Re: Elitewheels Drive 50D --> Rim Failure
Just woke up to the following email from Anthony, that was pretty darn quick! A rebuild not my 1st choice but I'll take it Will continue to update everyone.

That's the kind of reactions of manufacturers we like to see here :)

We should make a database of warranty claims and handling of sellers/ manufacturers for future reference :)

Bike is ready - first ride tomorrow.  8)

Weight including pedals, Wahoo-mount and Fidlock-Holders (without bottles).

It's amazing you managed to keep the weight so low :)

Re: WheelTop EDS TX Full Wireless Groupset (Chinese SRAM)
For a rookie like myself what cassette and chain can I run on this group set?

Really keen on pulling the trigger, 900AUD on Ali atm.

I should prob wait till reviews come out tho haha

Yeah, you don't want to be a beta tester like all those people with their faulty Ltwoo sets... Not for this kind of money...

Re: Magene QED P325 Crankset They should at least offer a spider that fits their interface so you can fit whatever chainring you want...

It is indeed a shame you now have a perfectly fine PM you can't use...

Re: Yishun R086-D Aero Road
I just tried this. Applied threadlocker on the expander bolts on seat post, torqued to 10nm, did a 60km ride and no slipping issues so far for the whole ride. I tried 11nm (with no threadlocker) but issue returned after an hour of riding.

So therefore, slipping seatpost was caused by the bolt loosening maybe due to vibration. I checked them after every ride (before I applied threadlocker) and it was really loose (Had to torque them back to 10nm each ride).

BTW I used loctite 243 medium strength.

I have the same problem on multiple bikes with a custom clamp system. Seat post bolt gets loose. So now I always apply some threadlocker.
