Another option is to run Sensah Shimano pull shifters and run an LTwoo and/or Shimano GRX gravel derailleur. LTwoo uses Shimano current 10/11/12 speed road/gravel pull ratios:

Re: Ali express disc brake pads, recommendations I have had good luck with Cooma brand pads for various Shimano calipers. I always go for resin pads + Shimano rotors and that combo has been great.

I got some information about bearing kit from Reddit made by Tenybike. I wasn't able to find that exact same brand on Amazon but this looked exactly like Tenybike's so I took a chance and surprise, surprise! Forget the brand name in the link, the actual kit came with Tenybike logo itched on it. It looks like this exact kit is sold on AliEx by many sellers

I used this to for a few purposes till now - 1. To fit bearings on my ICAN and Superteam wheels 2. Installing headset bearing on Canyon road bike - the middle spindle is just barely enough to cover head tube of size 56 road bike YMMV. 3. Bearing replacement on PF30 bottom bracket. I paid around $40 including taxes and now its gone up to $50 but keep an eye out. If you are not in a hurry, get any one of those blue kits.. they are probably all same.

Re: 12v MTB cassette Not exactly this but MTB cassettes have been a hit or miss for me including 11 speed ones. I think the cog spacing isn't consistent and considering how sensitive 12s is the indexing can be major pain to near impossible. The only Aliexpress cassettes that worked well were (for me) road spec small cassettes in the range of 11-30/32. The Shimano XT 8100 ms 10-51 costs less than this and weighs bit more at 460 grams but I think that is a way better option. On my 11s I eventually went with Deore M5100 cassette and for 12s I got the SLX M7100 and life's good again.

The tiny centering screw (on rear caliper) has started to become undone with regular road usage. That causes the caliper to lean on one side every few miles. This is similar to Red calipers who refuse to stay centered except in this case it's even more severe. This on top of all other issues. I had gotten them because Red calipers were annoying with their centering problem but alas. At least the Red calipers are solid without any slop and wiggly pivots.

Such beautiful looking, shiny artifacts but they are back into their boxes for good.

Re: Best and worst overall quality/value components/tools/gear from AliExpress? +1 for MIXED branded saddles, they are terrific. I have the 5D too. Definitely a cut above other Aliex saddles as far as finishing goes.

Re: Zero offset seat post recommendations? There's nothing better than Elita one already mentioned above. It's one of those (rare few) no brainer items on Aliexpress.
