Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! Those Tripeak offset OSPW are $180 a pop according to bike rumors.

https://bikerumor.com/tripeak-jetstream-offset-oversize-pulley-kit/

That's a crazy money for a pulley wheel I feel but then people but $700 ospw so may be it's a good price I don't know.

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc!
Has anyone been able to use the $80 off coupon yet (anniversary sale)?
Yeah..

just to be 100% sure on that, it means I could use 105 shifters with Tiagra 4700 RD working for 11s?
I currently have the 4700 complete groupset on my bike, it's working well but it's already 4yrs old so I was thinking of an upgrade to 105 11s, and of course any part I could keep would be an interesting saving to have  ;D

You can do that, yes.

Re: Rear wheel that's reasonably quiet -- my new (knockoff?) DT240 wheel is loud I was looking at the same thing (quite hub not fake hubs) and some posts on mtbr suggested that going higher teeth count is quieter than ratchet with less teeth. Article on Scribe cycling also suggests same and explains why. On single track world I have read opposing views. Those ratchets are cheap, if yours is not 54t already may be try that.

On my ICAN hubs I went with thicker grease and that really shut them up. DTS recommends using their own grease but there are some useful comments using synthetic oil mixed with normal grease to a great effect.

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! T47 is actually not the same format as any PF or PF-thread together type bottom brackets. It is pretty much oversized threaded BSA BB which has two cups that thread into the frame. They don't need to form a bond with thread-together metal sleeve. There is a sleeve in the middle but it is dumb and made of plastic, at least on WM T47 BB.

Having said that I have the good old BSA BB by ZTTO with ceramic bearing on a road bike and it is fine. The ceramic bearing part is of no consequence so just get the normal steel bearing model, it should be fine. In my opinion ZTTO generally makes okay products.

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets Man, I am >< this close to pulling trigger on that $380 ER9 but the imminent launch of upgraded version is stopping me.  It's supposed to go on an existing bike (replacing mechanical Ultegra). But then in the comparison video on China cycling it appears that RD, cable port, charging port basically parts that have been reportedly suseptible to water damage are not updated and are same as current ER9/X. They updated FD but from what I read on these pages, the FD isn't really prone to getting the water in.

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! What 12 speed MTB cassettes (HG) are good? Shimano doesn't make HG compatible 12s cassettes and my experience with Sunshine and Goldix 12s cassettes has been sub-par. The indexing was near impossible and I always had sloppy shifting in some spots. I eventually switched the freehub to MS and got Deore cassette (thanks DTSwiss) but that's not an option on my gravel bike's wheels. The LTWoo EGR deal is super tempting and I am wondering if I should keep it in 11 speed mode and use the fantastic Deore M5100 11s 11-42 cassette with it.

OR may be with LTWoo's clever app that allows fine tuning each shift the indexing issues similar to mechanical shifting can be negated?

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc!
Daer all, I've recently ordered Senicx crankset for a low budget gravel project; from the description or user's reviews I can't understand if the 3 screws for gxp chainring are included or I need to do a dedicated order. Someone with similar crankset found the screws in the box?
thanks

They are included but even if they are not, it's less than 50c at hardware shop.

The size is M5x8mm.

I bought a GXP to 5 bolt adapter and it didn't come with those screws and had to get them myself.

Re: Hygge Aero Carbon Frame
Well, I would recommend anyone thinking about a Hygge frame to look somewhere else. This brand is very dishonest and WILL NOT HONOUR THE 24 MONTH WARRANTY they claim on their website.

I remember yours was one of the first Hygge frames here. Looked terrific, price was great, communication was good ~, excellent colors etc. Within 6 months we have come this far. Long term reviews are so important! Did you pester them on their IG account yet? I have often found companies respond better on social media than sending them a mail.

Re: Best and worst overall quality/value components/tools/gear from AliExpress? The "Shahe" brand tools are really good. So far I ordered below 3 and their quality at those price is unbeatable.

They package goods rather well too. Each of these came in specifically made Styrofoam boxes and reasonably well written manuals. Next up, I think I will try their digital torque wrench.

Re: LTWOO eGR
I think LTwoo shot themselves in the foot with a max 46t limit with the RD. I'd rather just get a mechanical 12 speed 1x GRX 822 RD which gives a 51t cog capacity and is backwards compatible with 11 speed and probably 10 speed.

I think the chain was too short or RD B-screw set in too deep in Luke's video where he has problem shifting 50t cassette. It will *probably* shift 50t cassette with some smart play with B screw and chain length. Though I am hardly ever going to use 50t cassette as the jumps between last 2-3 cogs are just too much for any smooth shifting.

What I don't understand is why EGR is more expensive than ER9 considering it does not seem to have any better weatherproofing nor does it have FD.
