I'm not sure about your location and local markets, but it's probably worth looking used. A lightweight rim-brake frame from that era is likely to be lighter, better quality, and potentially cheaper, assuming you can find one in the right size. If you're going to go with a Chinese frame, then a lightweight version of the FM066 (available from various vendors) is the most common pick - very similar to a Cervelo R5. The one you've linked to is one of those (just make sure you're asking for the lightweight version). It's a pretty standard design - there's no particularly unusual parts you'll need to watch out for (though I'd probably get a spare derailleur hanger or two). October 30, 2023, 02:06:26 AM |

Another vote for Elita One here. My 27.2mm 0 offset 250mm post ended up being something pretty stupidly light like 140g.

Ordered a small haul from YKYWBike in the 11.11 sales. Chose YKYWBike since what I've had from them so far has been consistent in sizing and quality. Spexcel has been hit and miss on quality, sometimes it's great, other times it's terrible and sizing consistency between pieces is so-so. Happy with some of the cheaper pieces so trying some of the more premium pieces (e.g. Elastic Interface pad in the shorts). An L-Twoo GR9 derailleur on its own is pretty much the same price as a Shimano GRX 812, and the Shimano is much better.
