Re: Any chinese Aero Gravel frame with bolts for bikepacking? As a fellow bikepacker, I'd strongly recommend going for a gravel bike. Not for the bolts (I only bolt on water bottle cages), but:

- Aero frames make 0 sense for bikepacking. As soon as you strap on bags, you lose whatever small advantage you could have gotten from an aero frame.
- Aero road bikes have a fit that's made for pro riders, not regular people. For long slow rides, you'll appreciate the comfortable fit of a gravel bike.
- When carrying bags, you'll want to fit some bigger tyres anyway, so you have more comfort and better puncture protection. For road bikepacking, I usually go for around 35mm.

Re: Any chinese Aero Gravel frame with bolts for bikepacking? Those are Light Carbon frames. Good frames, but there's nothing "Made in Denmark" about them.
I used one for bikepacking last year:

Re: Carbonda 1056 - VB-R-066 - or something else? I rode the 1056 for a while and can recommend it. It's a clear endurance bike, meaning it has a more comfortable fit and bigger tyre clearance (you can easily fit 32mm, with plenty of room to spare), but with a shorter wheelbase and steeper angles (meaning more responsive handling) than a gravel bike.

Re: Tsunami Seaboard GR02 Budget Gravel Build Thanks for trying out this frame! I had my eye on it as well, but I didn't want to risk a big EU import tax :(

Re: Carbonda Cfr 1056
I believe this has always been the case. No redesign. 38mm is the absolute limit but it fits. Page 25 of this thread has an example at the bottom.

I suspect that as well. I used to run a 1056 with 30mm tyres, and there was plenty of clearance left for bigger tyres. However, fitting bigger tyres doesn't make the 1056 a gravel bike. The stack and reach are similar to a gravel frame, but the wheelbase is much shorter and the angles steeper, so it handles like a road bike.

What's this frame? Does anyone know which frame this is? It's sold by a local bike store under their own brand, so I suspect it's an open mould, but it doesn't look familiar.

Re: Elite Wheels / Aliexpress / Trace Velo I've owned a 1056 before, it was excellent quality. Even the paint job was top-notch. It's my go-to frame for anyone looking for an endurance bike (meaning more upright position and bigger tyres, but still handles like a race bike, not a gravel bike).

Regarding your shipping issue: I always advise people not to order frames or wheels from AliExpress. Those parts are very susceptible to shipping damage (as you've found out), and Chinese stores don't really care about customer protection, so you're left to the goodwill of AliExpress and its sellers, which is often zero. Most sellers simply shrug off any claim with "friend, we sold 1000 of these, with no complaints".

I always order direct from companies like Carbonda, Light Carbon, and Light Bicycle, and have always had good customer service. They should also have shipping insurance, so when something does go wrong in shipping, they can send you a replacement part and recover the cost from the shipping company.

Re: Groupset News I really hope LTwoo sticks to Campy-style shifting. I never liked Di2 because the shift buttons are way to close together.

-> Currently starts at €680, or €730 for 2x, in stock, with low shipping costs (pretty much free, as I order there regularly anyway).
