Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! I am migrating away from my Jun Juin 4-piston calipers on my gravel bike and 29er hardtail I have set up as a bike packer

When they work, they work well, but I am always having problems with them.

- Rapid pad wear.  The pads wear too fast.  Then I have to start adjusting the knob to keep them stopping with full power.  Then the pistons in the cylinders are pushed out farther leading to shorter stroke.  by the time the pads are worn a bit over 1/2 way, they start losing stopping power.
- If you use them a lot of long descents, they quickly heat up, sometimes boiling the mineral oil.  Since I have to have new pads in them, the thermal expansion of the mineral oil causes the pistons to push out onto the rotor, making the problem worse.   I've had these brakes completely lock up on me numerous times.  With super hot calipers, one has to try to get them to release from the rotor in order to rotate the wheel.
-  Dirt/dust rapidly builds up on the caliper adjustment knob's threads making it very difficult to try to adjust the knob out on the road/trails.

I liked them a lot, at first, but over time, I give them a thumbs down.

Re: Recommendation on 1x12 MTB groupset? Thx for discussing on my question! For the Shimano SLX I read that the derailleur only works with 10 teeth smallest cog; but I can use only 11 (restricted by HG freehubs). Anyway, I ordered the L-TWOO TX set plus a Spedao 11-50 cassette. At least for the chain I stay with proven suppliers means Shimano :-)

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! Just collected 11/11 coupons. I think they are limited in numbers. Last time I waited too long and missed on the 30 off 200 coupon.

Re: Endurance Frame recommendations - Airwolf YFR066 or spend more money
Oops  :-X I had already purchased the Airwolf when I saw this this morning. I almost tried to cancel, but the Airwolf ended up under $400 shipped and can take 38C vs. 32C tires, so hopefully it won't be the end of the world.

I don't think Airwolf is any different from VB or such. Its fine. I communicated with them from their website and it was okay. Not many reports out there but whatever I could find seem good. All the best with your build!

Re: Elves Falath EVO 2023
I sincerely hope for your sake that you aren't so pathetic and passive aggressive in your actual life. Chances are you are just as pathetic and defeated, though. Pretty common among kids these days.

I hope you see the irony in this. One guy says he bought the frame, I said that's good and you short your fuse. Bro you need some serious help.
Anyway I am taking your advice and moving on (from your comments at least).

Re: LCFS 917 - 120/120 mm - MTB
Jeff, any lesson learn on headset cable routing? I will receive my frame (spcycle) in a few weeks and I have to route through the headset as well

I prefer to go opposite side so right side controls go in left side of headset.  that worked for me but no promises there.   the other thing is i tool a round file to the inside of my headset pieces where the cables go in and made sure there was nothing sharp and all the edges were nice and rounded off and smooth.   this lets them slid a bit and keeps them from getting cut up.
