Re: ICAN triaero A9
Out for a ride with a mate today. Does it look like there's nearly a 10k price difference? Definitely doesn't perform like there is. ![]() February 19, 2021, 07:12:54 AM |

Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
Hello, I live in Mallorca (Spain) and I do all kinds of routes and terrain, of course I also endured descents. In my land there is a lot of Stone. The idea is to change bikes to get a better performance going down and not going up slower ... If the carbonda doesn't go down much faster than my current top fuel xc, I don't think I'm interested in changing bikes. I am also from Mallorca. I can't tell you how low your trek is, but carbonda gives you a lot of security and is very fast. February 19, 2021, 03:13:07 PM |

Re: Stumpjumper clone
hello again, Finally i got my wheels. Bike built to 99% - ready to test ride. I finished in the evening so photos are made with bad lightning - will do some more in daylight. Bike feels great, i went for RS superdeluxe ultimate shock and Ohlins RXF 36 EVO at the end. here are the specs: crank - slx 32t 175mm rear mech - slx 12s (10-51) shifter - slx 12s bb - xt rotors - xt 203mm hubs - xt micro spline rims - WTB ST 30 Light 29" brakes - slx 2piston (gonna upgrade front brake to 4 piston probably9 handlebar - ritchey trail raiser (10° back sweep - I know, i bought it without thinking..) stem - 50mm (krsec - aliexpress) seat - proloq (aliexpress) seatpost - x-fusion manic 150mm 34,9 pedals - rockbros (aliexpress) tires - Maxxis DHF 2.5 and DHR II 2.4 fork - öhlins rxf 36 Evo 29" shock - RS superdeluxe ultimate 210*50 Bike is size L and feels great (I'm 1.88cm). Fork is buttery smooth (if anybody is interested) as i read a lot of reviews how bad it is - i haven't ridden a better fork, and i have ridden Marzocchi bomber (yes i am that old), Marzocchi 66, RS Boxxer WC, RS Pike RC, and this fork is the best one yet. I don't know if it's the 29" wheels or is the fork actually that good. Also the rear shock - the lock out function makes this bike almost like a hardtail (sag set to 30%), you can accelerate almost as on a hardtail... anyway, I only did short runs around the house, run some stairs - usual stuff. Bike now weights 14,00Kg with tubeless system and you will agree DH tires. So if anybody wants to get it in the 12-13Kg range it shouldn't be to hard. photos: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AodhshLG0I0gi65M28hhCsMf1ZS0eA?e=JUGqIY So far i'm happy with the build, still missing some bolts for brake adapters, stem spacers and cap, but the ride is great and that's what matters. Will follow up with info if anybody is interested. February 22, 2021, 12:44:09 PM |

Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
Just finished my build. Target weight was under 11kg and landed on 10,8 total with pedals. I hope I can come out on a suspension tuning ride tomorrow. ![]() February 26, 2021, 09:43:13 AM |

Re: Lightcarbon LCFS937 Build
Finished my build and did the first two rides. Thanks to all contributors on this thread! Super happy with the result. Came in at 12.9 kg, even though my list said 13.2. Maybe I forgot something? ![]() ![]() Frame is 19", 2487 g with hanger and the supplied damper bolts (without axle and saddle clamp). No issues at all with the frame and hardware, fit and finish is good. Bearings seem very good, all MAX type with plenty of grease inside. Didn't like the fact that the trunnion bolts clamp the damper firmly to the frame, so with bolts tightened, no movement is possible. As a workaround I inserted a couple washers into the blind holes in the trunnion, so that the bolts are tightened against the bottom of the hole and not against the frame. This way, the damper can pivot freely. Still not a "good" solution, but better than nothing. I am constantly checking the bolts... Rides great, sort of pushes me to go faster on uphills, even though the powermeter data doesn't show a noticeable difference compared to my previous 27.5" all mountain... Need to dial in the damper (Fox DPS), so I borrowed a ShockWiz ![]() Actually I planned to use a damper remote, but noticed that I can reach the damper lever quite easily. So I guess I won't bother ![]() I noticed that Lightcarbon measures the stack to the axles, not to the BB. So you need to add the BB drop to compare to others... February 28, 2021, 01:44:00 PM |

Re: Velo Build R-099 Build
My VeloBuild arrived last week and I just got it built up. Its great, the construction seems really good. everything was precise and in the right places. There were definitely a couple little details that had been overlooked. For example, it would have been really helpful to have a shift cable race under the bottom bracket but instead it was just a hole. Which means that you have to remove the BB to replace the front shift cable. But this is at the end of the day a little thing. Overall, really good experience. Excited to get a sense of how it rides after getting a couple 100 miles on it.

Re: TanTan TT-X21 frame
Finally went for a ride on my TT-X21. Very stiff, very light and quick to pick up speed. Very light on hills. ZRace discs are a bit spongy. Sensah front derailleur is hit and miss. March 13, 2021, 02:50:32 PM |
