Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts I've only tried that mount on a GG Trail Pistol with the bottle cages hanging down from the top tube, haven't tried with a bike on the downtube.  It was wide enough that my knees were constantly hitting the bottles.  It also looks real silly, but some may not care about that.

I think the best solution is using a mount to stuff two bottles in the triangle.  I used Lyne Components for inspiration (because I wouldn't pay this much for just a mount) https://www.on-lynecomponents.com/collections/the-holy-rail/products/holy-rail-dual-cage-kit and I 3D printed my own bracket.  It's about 100g if I remember right, super stiff, and I can design it fit the frame perfectly.  Here's a picture mounted on my LCFS911, not too easy to see in that picture but it shows the concept.  The mount shifts the forward bottle cage up one bolt hole, so if you mount a cage on the FM936 using just the top hole and it fits, and then if you can hold a bottle between that and the shock, I should be able to make a mount that will fit.  I've also got a 1:1 PDF of the mount that you could cut out and see if it fits without modification.

Re: FM1001 / FM1156 - 135mm frame
Nice looking bike! That terrain looks familiar, are you in the SF Bay Area?

Thanks! Yeah, I'm in the east bay. Those were taken at Pena Adobe which is my home trail. Where in the Bay are you?

Sunnyvale. I do most of my MTBing in the parks and preserves along Skyline Blvd. down here. I used to go to Henry W. Coe State Park a lot, but I need to build my endurance back for that place after years of not riding MTB.

Re: FM1001 / FM1156 - 135mm frame
Bossman, are you able to ride both the 1001 and 1002 and if so, how do they compare? What about weight for both frames? Do you have any other bikes you have ridden that you can compare it to?

I'm really thinking about getting one. They look a lot better finished than the AM831.

Since I don't own the FM1002 I can't compare the two. I'm finding the FM1001 to handles really well so I would think the FM1002 would be a bit better with the longer wheel base, slacker head tube, and longer suspension travel. Unfortunately I don't own a scale so I can't weight the bike. Its fairly light so my guess is right around 30lbs. My previous bike was the Hyper Hydroform. It is super heavy and the bike was to big for me. Comparing the two in night and day. The FM1001 handles so much better, is obviously lighter, better geometry and being a medium size it fits me perfectly.

I've read the other tread about the AM831 and all the flexing issues they are having. I'm happy to say the the FM1001 has little to no flex in the frame. I think you would be happy with either the FM1001/1002.

Re: Carbonda FM909
Why Minions on an XC bike to start with, and especially if you're counting grams?

To shed half a kilo next summer  ;D

Re: Lexon "Riot 10" I'm 6' and riding a large Riot, I find it fits me well and I do not feel cramped.  My previous bike was a Specialized Crave 2014 hard tail, the Riot is "bigger" in most aspects when compared to my old bike, 30mm longer reach (but I'm using a shorter stem now and wider bars) and the wheelbase especially is much longer (50mm) due to the slacker head tube. Earlier in this thread there are a bunch of comments on bike measurements which may be helpful to you.  In my opinion it seems Lexon is keeping with traditional sizing charts, whereas today many bike brands have increased the size of bikes, so what used to be a large is now considered a medium and so on.  All said at 6' I'm comfortable on the size large Riot, I don't feel cramped or stretched out and I'm using 175mm cranks.  Hope this helps.

Re: Lexon "Riot 10"
@RongGearBob what's the wheelbase on your L build? Is that with the 100 or the 120 fork?

My wheelbase on the size L frame with 120mm RS Reba is ~1193mm.

Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
Any thoughts or practical experience from the peanut gallery?
After quick check I suggest you L. With 120mm fork your reach will be 491, not 500. And I recommend you to use following link and check if you will be able to get nearly the same RAD and seated fit (distance from saddle to grips) as on your Norco on L sized Carbonda frame even with 35 mm stem:

Re: Lexon "Riot 10"
Awesome, thanks! My Norco sits at 1188mm and I was concerned that the Riot would be considerably shorter, based off its relatively small reach & TT numbers. Would hate to order & build one up just for it to be a squirrelly twitchy mess.

No problem and it has not felt twitchy at all.  FWW I'm running a 50mm stem and 800mm wide bars.  I plan to have the bars cut down to at least 780, maybe even down to 760.  The bars keep hitting trees on the trails I ride most frequently.
