Re: Chinese cycling clothes
Received YKYW kit and the jersey is COMICALLY large. EU L/Asia XL just like my darevie but it feels like a 3XL to the point I kind of feel scammed
I've gone through this kind of sizing error with Spexcel, a jersey that was an S but the measurements were of an XS. I've just took photos of the measuring tape showing it was like 50cm instead of 54cm and sent as attachment in the dispute, this was enough to get full refund

particularly I've never had this kind of problem with YKYW, their clothing was always according to the size table
but the size varies according to the brand, so it's like Pedaldancer said, you have to check with each one. I know my Darevie size is different from YKYW for example.
Some specific clothing may vary too - like one bib model is slightly different from the other - but usually is within range. I still double-check before purchasing, just to be sure. Sometimes it's like ordering something that has 'comfort' fit versus 'aero' fit

The store was"YKYWBIKE YKYWBIKE Cycling Store"
I think it's legit, but this store is just strange, the store and product pages, idk... I always buy on the 'Official Store', but could as well be the same just named different... (prices vary too)

You can't just order the same size from a different company. Even for western brands that's not working. And this is why trying a new brand is probably disgusting.
If you take the sizing table. These values correspond to the jacket measurements (for ykyw.. that may be different for others).
When you measure that values. Are they in agreement to the table?

And why is it important to know whether the table indicates fabric or body measurement: E.g. if you have 100cm fabric measurement on the chest , your chest measurement must be larger, cause the elastic stuff is designed for minus values. If the jacket and your body have the same measurement, it will be to large. It's pretty ugly to get the right sizes when it's so easy ṭo get in this trap. And then it's also a question of ,'design'. If the designer wanted that to be very tight ,a size up could be good. And the other way round.
yeah, it's always complex to buy this kind of stuff online. And with western brands the description usually says what kind of fit it is, recommends the sizing accordingly. But it's not like Ali stores work, so even 'studying' the sizes you're still in a kind of 'hit or miss' situation
on top of having my body measures and comparing to the product's size table, I also compare the size tables between a bib/jersey I have and fit me well (ideally same brand) with the new one and see how they match. And you can also ask the seller what he recommends if you're between sizes and still in doubt

Re: Spacers on top of the Velobuild stem?
I have a feeling this is not going to be possible but for anyone that has ordered a Velobuild frame with separate stem: Is there a way to put spacers on top of it? I don't want to commit to cutting the fork entirely but I guess this is a design flaw or they seriously expect you to get your stack height 100% correct at first or with all the spacers under the stem. Picture for reference:

I 3d printed an adapter for this, based on a file shared on the 177 thread.

You could possibly sand down a tall enough spacer to match the curvature of the stem.

Re: 48/32 or 46/30 chainrings for road crankset
Hey, does anyone know where to get 46/30 or 48/32 chainrings for road cranksets? For fitting on 110x4 BCD cranks, like Shimano R7000 or R7100 cranksets. Or other cranksets that are on 24mm spindles.

The lowest 110x4 BCD I've seen are Stone chainrings which go down to 46/32t or 48/33t. You can find both older symmetric or asymmetric chainrings here:

https://www.aliexpress.com/store/group/Stone-Chainrings/1100996816_10000001916276.html

For direct mount, they have this new style chainring that does 46/30t and  48/32t:

My personal preference is the Senicx 46/30t direct mount chainring. Chain line is perfect with no need for BB spacers which seem to be an issue with other AliEx chainrings:

Re: 48/32 or 46/30 chainrings for road crankset I used a bikinGreen adapter to lower my FD for the Senicx 46/30T chainrings. Worked great. On some frames the chainstay would limit how much you can lower the FD, in particular smaller sized frames. I used it on a size small 52cm frame, and there was enough clearance to get it low enough for good shifting. But the adapter may not work so well on a size XXS frame, say.

Here's the listing I bought from: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/155224761356

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc!
Did you oder the prescription also at the kapvoe store? Are you happy with it?

I got a kapvoe  at a choice offer recently and I am very happy about the photochromic effect.. I was thinking on using them with the clip to get rid of my contact lenses.

Yes, I got the lenses from the same store, I gave them my prescription and they gave me a link to which lenses to buy.  Two others in our group did the same and are happy. You order the frames and lenses as two separate orders, send them your prescription, and the glasses arrive with the prescription lenses fitted.  I can't give too many compliments on how responsive and helpful the seller was.

To be honest I bought bifocal lenses and wish I hadn't, they're fine, I just don't normally wear bifocal even though my new prescription requests it.... therefore when I put on the glasses I need to adapt to it each time. I'm told you get used to bifocal, I'm just walking around with less than perfect eyesight because I refuse to wear bifocal full time.

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
Can you make a video showing what you did? :)

Not really worth a vid, IMO. I pulled the plug, applied silicone grease in the slot where the plug sits and put it back in. It takes literally less than a minute. I washed the bike thoroughly yesterday and did spray water onto the RD and the plug deliberately. No issues. You could probably even use silicone sealant for a more permanent solution. The flakes everywhere on the pic are just little pieces of wax from the chain.

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
I wish there was a general gear shift trim feature in the app on top of the individual gear tuning, sort of like the barrel adjuster on a mechanical RD. I got it perfectly set up on the road but when I put the bike on my direct drive turbo, the indexing on that cassette is just slightly off enough in a few gears to be really annoying. But adjusting the individual gears every time I put the bike on and off the trainer is super tedious.

A better alternative would be to have individual profiles within the app that you can save to. So you can just load the profile when needed.

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets

I was thinking about using er9 for my commuter, but somehow that's a no go then.  :o

I mean you could even save various presets in the app. One for every wheelset or the trainer and just switch between indexing settings via app. Shouldn’t be too hard to implement. I’d love that. I’ll send them an email.
